      Has this ever happened to anyone else?

      So today my mom and I went to pick up my grandma. We were going to drive to the cemetery and visit my deceased grandpa. It takes around 30 minutes to get there; I actually thought it took longer though, so I decided I would try to do a WILD. On the way there, it didn't work at all. But I could understand that. A car isn't the most ideal place to try getting into a LD. xD
      After we visited my grandpa, we got back in the car and left. I was wondering if I should try again. Maybe I would get lucky and actually do it.

      This time, instead of just sitting back in a comfortable position, I decided to lean on the side of the car door. I really think it was starting to work after a while, but suddenly out of nowhere, my body did some kind of reflex jolt or something, because both my feet actually left the floor of the car for a second and I sat straight up.
      I have absolutely no idea how that happened. I was completely relaxed, my mind was not even close to think about moving my body, and the car ride wasn't bumpy or anything. =/


      Has this ever happened to anyone before?

      I get these quite a lot when I attempt WILD.

      Don't worry, this just sounds like an intense hypnic jerk. I've had some pretty crazy ones before where an arm would go flying I think maybe legs are heavier so they don't get it as badly? It may have even been a reflex as you started to lean forward and fall or something and you really just jerked yourself back upward.

      Sounds like a hypnic jerk to me, as Apopholis and Shift stated. Happens to me all the time, really.

      Once I had just about fallen asleep in the car, when my whole body jerked violently and I slammed my hand against the window very painfully. Scared my parents to death; they thought I'd done it on purpose untill I explained what had happened.

      Lmao thats funny same thing happened to me. My parents think im crazy ahaha, but whatever they're not the ones with the awesome midnight adventures in dream land!

      yea i was trying to WILD and out of nowhere i felt something pushed me extremely hard and i woke up. it can be extremely hard to WILD if that happens, but luckily enough, it only happened once.

      if it happens once or twice its normal and dont worry about it. but if it happens all the times, then you might have a hard time with it.

      i had a dream i was running into a wall (half aseep), and when i came to the wall, i moved my leg forward to stop my self. it heppend in real life
