      Ugh! So Frustrating!

Whenever I hold my nose in a dream, EVERY time, and i realize that I'm dreaming i lose the dreamscape, despite my attempt to keep it by spinning and look at everything closely. What can I do to stop this?

Well. You can try different RCs.

A positive of this could be that you can now create whatever you want. If it disappears, you have a clean slate. Start building!

Hold your nose with the other hand. Your current one is throwing off the order of things.

Yeah, that's probably it. I forgot some people do that. XD

Gotta love our minds making us do it the proper way automatically, eh? ;P

Try to push your finger through your hand. I used to do the nose test until one night i tried it in bed. I held my nose and didn't breathe for a long time. I got freaked out, and did a different RC. Turns out, I wasn't even dreaming. Scared the heck out of me.

I think that happens to me sometimes. yesterday I made it into a wild and a few seconds into it everything faded away and I was back in SP. Im not sure if that is the same thing as what you experienced.

^mutilation of the placebo effect. This isn't like a sugar pill. I highly doubt she had the expectation that the reality check would wake her up (before the first time it happened, that is). I also doubt that she wants the effect to occur.

It's more of a continually reinforcing thing. Self-strengthening schema. Tricky in dreams.

And for that, I also suggest that you switch to another reality check for a while. Let your connotations with the nose check self-extinct.

By the way, are you waking up, or does the dream scene merely change? And for how long has this been occurring?
