Well, despite your lack of patience, I would say starting a dream journal would be a good first step

With dream recall, you should first find out, how it is working. One of the core principle of good recall practice is to learn not to move when waking up. This is not as easily done as said, becouse when the sleep ends you have not regained your IQ to full extent. But it can be learned.

Do whatever you wish, be creative and create your own practice. You may practice pretending you are waking up and not moving, you may give yourself suggestions at the evening.

Don't get upset and bump your thread if no one responds, just give it time...

http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=46992 Check that thread out. I used to do its exercises, and the ones in EWOLD.

True Adraw, and even harder since our bodies are trained to wake and roll over between REM cycles.

Thats why it is so hard to learn. Our reflexes have priority ... .

One tip: If you have nothing to write in your dream journal.. Simply write something dream related. And one more thing. It is often useful to write something to the dream journal at the evening and than something in the morning. Why? Becouse the person who falls asleep is different one than person who wakes up... So simply .. You are having a conversation .. Which is more fun than monologue .

Just joking... But it really helps if you want to be consistent with dream journal....

As for core of your post... You should get some rest from lucid dreaming... You absorbed a lot and your mind needs time to process the information. You have to be literally a different person when testing what you have learned

To increase your dream recall, practice things that improve your memory, like memorizing the dreams that you have during the week or month, and then reviewing them in your mind each day. Of course, you would first need to start a dream journal before doing that.

Anything you do that lets your subconscious know that your dreams are important to you, such as writing them down, and then going back over them in your mind later, is going to get your subconscious minds attention, which will then cause it to help you more in remembering more dreams.

It helps to have a list of peg words that you can associate those dreams with to help in remembering them when it comes time to review them.

The great thing about this technique is that while you are reviewing them in your mind, you can picture yourself becoming lucid in the dream while you are reviewing it, which will not only help in improving your memory, but will also help in training yourself to become lucid during your dreams.

A month isn't long! Well not compared to me-I can't remember exactly how long it took me to have a lucid dream-but I'd say two years minimum! I have no idea why it took so long...granted I didn't try REALLY REALLY hard like you, but I still thought I'd get one. It was well worth it though, I suddenly had them out of nowhere a year or two ago, at one point- two or three a week (good for me). So yeh, don't give up!

Try some affirmations would be my advice (best thing that helped me) e.g- "I will realise I'm dreaming and remember it all". Set your alarm for a couple of hours earlier than your get-up time, and then repeat affirmations until you fall asleep-easiest way to get a DILD in my opinion. Good luck.

Yup same here, I've been at it for ages but I'm still trying to get there with my hopes high up :3 I KNOW , I will get there. And as long as I know that I dont care how long it takes. (actually I just got back from the army and have to start from 0 again to get my dream recall back up :S)

Yeh don't give up, you will get there. Like I said it took me sooo long to get one! But fear not because I've had over 100 since my first! They've not all been great but a fair few have. Going through a bit of a dry spell at the moment, have no idea why, but that's how it works sometimes. Once you've got the first one, it won't be long before you get more!

I glanced over the replys and didn't see either of these, but I am sorry if I just missed it.

1: Autosuggestion - This is when you repeat the same thing ('I will remember my dreams' works best) over and over and over untill you fall asleep.

2: Subliminal Recall MP3 - Ninja made this. It is the one labeled with recall.

And always, a dream journol. If this is too hard for you, use a camera or tape recorder. It always works for me.

Good luck, and try not to bump up your threads like that. It upsets people and may make them not want to help you. This forum is good about helping people who need it, even if their post is a few days old.

the easiest things i can suggest is just what everyone else has mentioned kind of.
get a dream journal and write down all your dreams, even if its in the middle of the night and you dont want to get up.
this is so important. by doing this day after day you wont even have to think about remembering them really. they just come to me after i wake up now.

Another tip. Maybe this will help you as well:
If you have people around you with whom you can share your dreams, you should do that. It motivates you to remember your dreams (maybe more subconscious than conscious).

I give you this tip from personal experience. I have had excellent dream recall all my life. It has probably to do with the fact that we used to share our dreams during breakfast. My mom would ask us if we'd had any adventures the previous night. If it was a bad dream she would advise us to just fly away or think of something fun to erase the bad dream.
We shared our dreams every day ever since I was a toddler till puberty. Now we still do it, but less frequent. For me I think it was the seed for excellent dreamrecall ... and maybe for spontanious LDs.

Take choline. You can get it from anywhere outside finland I think... Not sure.

      Choline increases recall.
