      INTENSE beeing sound in head.

I think I have heard some people mention they have this experience sometimes... Sometimes when I wake up from a dream but I'm not quite awake, I get this LOUD piercing beeeeep right in my head. It feels as if I can control its intenseness and as It gets more intense I feel like I'm starting to drift off into another lucid dream, but it also feels like my head might explode so I back off LOL. I really wonder what the hell that is lol.

Could it be an audio hallucination?

I don't think so, it definitely felt more real, like I actually felt the beep in my temples. I have heard this experience assosiated with astral projection many times but despite my long standing interest in it, I don't have much reason to belive it. I think it can something lucid dream related instead.

Hmm...I'm not really familiar with astral projection stuff, but do you get a headache when this happens?

If no one here can provide a good enough answer, you may want to see a doctor about this.

I don't get a headache, but maybe I should ask my doctor about it haha. But I think It has more to do with sleep paralysis because I only get it after dreams and sometimes I can get into lucid dreams from this beeping sound.

It's very possible to have hallucinations that you feel.

Have you heard of the "Old hag"?

People will feel pressure on their chest, but I was simply told that this is just a hallucination.

      Astral Projection... Yeah sure

I have the beep too. I´ve read that when you fall asleep, a relatively big amouth of electricity goes thru your eardrum. So that makes the sound. Actually, eletricity goes thru it all the time. That makes a little beep sound all the time.

It sounds to me like the age old phenominom called 'ringing in the ears'. I get this from time to time. Usually when I've been smoking pot. I usually get rid of it by putting on some music and trying to pick out the instruments.

Or just turn on the radio. I usually find the that the early morning news influences my dreams, a good one to try.

I think I know what you're talking about. I've experienced this in several of my WILDs. It's usually one of the last stages before I enter the dream, and, yes, the weird feeling that your head is going to explode can be disconcerting.

I've had that incredibly annoying buzz from time to time as well, just try to ignore it, it's really nothing.
On LD hiatus. Probably will start again around new years.

Or, you know -- randomly throughout this year and next.

I'm going to go ahead and re-answer your question.

This sounds like your mind is the hypnopompic state. This is the state your mind is in when you are waking up. Your brain is in an illogical state at this time. During this time, you can have different kinds of hallucinations (i.e. ringing in the ears).
