The Stop, Drop and Roll Technique. does it work

      hello all

i tried the stop drop and roll technique last night.

i got out of bed, did some stretches. lay on the floor for 15 mins. got into bed lay with my arms behind my head (STOP), focused on each part of the body to relax.
once i felt relaxed i brought my arms to my side (DROP), i lay there and waited for the urge to roll over, but there was none, instead i felt SP on its way (or we could call it HH, just for 'SHIFT' ).

what should i have done here, i was meant to wait for the urge to roll over, do so onto my side (ROLL) then wait for SP.

i kinda felt that the middles position (DROP) was a bit unnessessary, why not just go from lying on back with arms behind head, straight to side.

does anyone use this techniqe, what do you think of it

for those who do not know of this technique here is the video

I also watched that video last night, and the Stop Drop and Roll technique seems kinda dumb to me =\

It should work just as well if you don't move at all, and ignore the urge to move. Just NEVER move, and you should be fine ;P

Lol. This is kinda random, but I just want to say it. When my mouth goes into SP, it opens, and feels really funny. I always drool all over myself Dx

what really pisses me of is that i dont get that urge to move. the whole SP thing is VERY slow for me.
i have never fully paralysed myself, i have gotten close, experienced lots of wierd stuff. but it all happens so slowly for me.

i am somwhat jelous of those who get that sudden urge to move, resist it and get dropped into a full SP.

how is it for you, is it very sudden?

also, what relaxation techniques do you use

I count in my head to relax.

With me, I'll just be lying there, and get a small urge to move. But as time goes on, it gets bigger and bigger. After about like, 5 minutes of this, it stops, and I'm in SP.

Don't worry too much about it. Just lay there, and think about anything, as long as you are relaxed. It can take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour for urges to come, just be patient!

      lawlawlawlawlawlawlawl. Me too....bah.

As far as that technique goes, for someone like me who takes an hour or more to even get small urges to appear, this technique seems to me like it would just be a waste of time, specially because it relies on so many other factors in order to be successful.

But by all means, you should give it a try if you feel so inclined.
