realizing when something in your dream is weird

hi i just go on this website, and am doing prety well with remebering my dreams, and doing reality checks during the day, but not at night i think it is because. when i'm in a dream (but don't know it yet) something weird could happen. for example, i could run on water or technology could come out of a computer. i never think it's weird though, and rarely do reality checks in my dreams.
does anyone have any suggestions to make me realize something is wierd in my dreams?

I think because the dream you thinks this is normal. Everyone that isn't a natural has the exact same problems, so your not alone. Heres a link to a thread, its called "Stupidest Ways You've Missed Becoming Lucid "

The only way you can fix this is notice your dreamsigns (odd things that happen often in your dreams) my most common one would be when my friends and family don't act like themselves, or lights don't switch on. the more aware you are of these, the higher chance you have becoming lucid.

It´s not that hard to start wondering in a dream. You need to ask yourself if its a dream whenever something weird happens in real life. It doesnt need to be something completely unusual, waiting for a bus and the bus isnt coming should be enough for you to make a reality check. Make a habit out of it and always look for odd things.
You´re gonna do that in your dreams as well then.

The next problem will be that you´re probably gonna start finding explanations in your dreams for the weird things and then still dont become lucid. I have that problem A LOT which means I´m not questioning my reality good enough. I´ve changed that (doing multiple reality checks), so I hope I´ll get better results soon.

Whenever I get fooled by obviously weird stuff, It seems like it is because I am watching my dream like a movie. I am not really inhabiting the dream. To fix this, I try to make sure to practice staying aware and "in the present" throughout the day. I try to stay aware of my body, my perspective, and my presence.

Oh, man, it seems like almost all my dreams are like that to at least a certain extent. It also seems like those dreams are less vivid and I can see myself from an external angle.

Awareness definitely helps. One convenient habit I picked up before delving into LDing was meditating before I went to bed. I've been doing it for what seems like almost two months before I even started trying to LD and I think it might have boosted my dream recall significantly.
