Using music to attain a wild

How well does this work, and whats the best king of music to use?
I tried a shammanic drum beat, said to relax and alter ones state of mind, work a little.
      Any suggestions?

Hey, I just got here but I've been thinking of trying it with music for a while. Finally getting around to it tonight.
      anyway....
although I havn't tried it yet I find that electronica has a pretty strong effect on me if I'm just laying around with it floating around in the background.
      I'm talking about bands like
Sebastian, Justice, Blockhead and Digitalism although you're going to have to find some softer stuff for the first two.
Well I'm going to try tonight and report back tomorrow.
btw have you gotten results with the drums?

Alot of people this works for.

For some music induced WILDs, people don't just let the music be a background but they actually analyze and get caught up in the musci. It can be used as a way to keep your mind awake and aware, but keep your body relaxed enough to fall asleep.

I assume this works best for people who fall asleep too quickly. It gives you something to hang onto so you don't just blank and lose consciousness. Personally, I have a hard time falling asleep during a WILD, especially after taking some B vitamins or Galantamine. Even the sound of my girlfriend's normal breathing can frustrate me and keep me awake during a WILD. I need total silence.

Hey guys. last night I tried th whole music thing I don't recall my dream at all although I'll try again and like you guys suggested I'll analyze it rather than just letting it float around in the background.
on a side note has anyone had it happen where the music they were listening to affected their dream?

Finally. A good Topic in DV again!. It's been a while.

Yes I have actually recently been falling asleep to a very entrancing tune. Not per sé for trying to Lucid dream, but to entrance myself into sleep quickly.

I have this Track that is a soundtrack from Prince of Persia; Sands of Time. It is in the part of the game where Princess Farah runs away and you have to chase her through some sort of mythical labyrinth.
The song is instrumental with Indian vocals/singing. Very Indian/Persian Vibe to it. I had it on repeat and soon enough I would be in a very deep trance and not hear the music anymore. It was just playing nonstop without a break, but for a little while I had mysteriously just stopt hearing it.

Then when I would notice that I wasn't hearing it anymore I would become more aware and slowly start hearing the music again. This is me becomming aware of how my ears fail to signal me that the music is still playing....probably because the body had mostly fallen asleep allready.

I made an entrancing, instrumental indian melody/beat in Reason. Also on repeat it works very very deeply entrancing. Now I need to get into WILD-ing with these tracks playing on repeat.

If you send me your MSN adress I can share these 2 entrancing tracks with you.
