      Human mind is pathetic!

Before I fell asleep, I made a few affirmations that I would have a lucid dream.
Eventually, I fell asleep, and the dream began. It was clear, but I wasn't lucid.

They felt real, but movie like. Not like waking life. A normal dream, in other words.

This was a fantastic dream. Very, very sexual.

A weird extra-terrestrial race were on our planet. They had sex with everything they saw. I had sex with a few of the women etc.

Their male species were hunchback, and had a huge penis on their back lol. (Imagine a man bending over, and seeing a 4 foot penis). Really weird lol.

I just don't know how I didn't attain lucidity. So stupid.

The 'seeing is believing' attribute of our mind is just too powerful. I guess them being an extra-terrestrial race overpowered my rational logic.

Going to attempt a WBTB and a WILD tonight.

I can't tell you how many times I've woken up having missed the most obvious dreamsign. Just keep at it, and eventually your efforts will pay off.

All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.

There should be some method to auto train your mind to look for things that are out of the ordinary constantly. Like a video game that makes you question everything all the time, and if you play it so much it jsut completely changes your mindset

You could try dream yoga but it would not be easy.

Why blame "your mind"? You're the one who missed it. You are your mind.

I had to post in this thread merely because you are mocking one of the greatest tools you have in posession. Human mind is not pathetic. It is all about you, your schemas, your experiences, how much you have trained. Your mind, more closely your sub-conscious, isn't making any mistake since the prime meaning of dreams is that you are unaware of it. It is the playfield of your sub-conc. You are now training your mind to walk on the side paths it hasn't walken before and make awareness somewhere where it usually isn't. It isn't that easy. ^^
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.

emm, no, you are not your mind, you are only consciousness.
you are being driven by your mind, a great tool.
if I were you, I would be happy, at least you have a vivid dream, now just practice, RC and all those things, try WILD.
just keep going, but don't get discouraged, LD takes time.

      bye!

You are your mind and your body because you are the human that contains those things.

If your affirmations aren't cutting it, use the program Subliminal Flash. You can set it to display subliminal messages on your computer screen. This way it will thoroughly pound your affirmations into your brain.

I didn't mean it in a literal sense, only in a comical way.

That is a great idea! I am going to start doing reality checks whenever I see something strange.

First of all, that's what you're supposed to do in the most basic form of DILD. Second, constantly questioning reality is known as dream yoga and for most people, especially newbies, it is very difficult. Search for it or try it and you'll see what I mean.

      This quote is win

you're expecting your brain to do something it isn't used to. so you have probably been letting odd things pass you by every single night when you think about it.

I just had another two strange dreams, and I missed being lucid:

My friends dad locked me, his son, and another friend into a van and drove us somewhere, and I fought him. The other, I watched the Earth literally catch fire...from Earth.

Honestly, I have no idea how I'm missing these. I should start reality checking more.
