As you gain more experience, learn to control your excitement. Thus said, the more experience, the more familiar it will be and the more control you will have. |

I've attempted WILDs and FILDs lately. Through doing meditation for years (and experiencing some FA and SP) I recognise some of the unusual occurences - feeling yourself move about in bed, loud bangs, feeling your body kind of float apart etc. |

I know one of the best drummers in Hawaii. He told me he asked the best drummer, "How'd you get so good?" The best drummer said, "practice." |

I agree with the above two posters. |

Things are not as they seem
Thank you for your input. I think I am getting past this stage now. I kinda realised that I was focusing too much on the end product. Now I've switched towards enjoying the nice and interesting sensations I experience on the whole journey; if I don't get to a dream I still can appreciate - and benefit from - the blissful relaxation. |

Hi, Weirdness, |
|
...hypnotic fractionation. What this means is quite simply when you are impeded relax, don't move, & try again. So, when you get excited & come to then start over. The best time to relax/fall asleep again is right after you have. Every time you come out then go back and do it again. This amplifies new neural pathway & makes it easier to access every proceeding occurrence. The real trick to this is to minimize the movement. i.e. eye movement, limb etc. Its like learning to ride a bike. When you fall over you learn to pick yourself back up & ride again. the key part here is get back on the bike. Keep it up |

Thank you, beachgirl. I enjoyed my first MILD and I'm hungry for more. |

I think I just got a step further. I seem to be progressing every day now. That was amazing, to be frank. I think I got a little further down, the "tunnel of fear". |
