Even if they are very odd, write anything you can remember down. Thoughts, emotions, colors, anything. Start with the 1st thing that comes to your mind, and them go from there. Also, saying you can't Lucid Dream only makes it that much harder to do so. Just keep practicing. There have been members here that have been trying for a full year or with no results. But they kept at it. |

This guy,, and this guy,
, are mine. BACK OFF!
Can you descibe how you RC more? Because how you RC can have a huge effect on whether or not you get lucid. See here: |

Yes, i have yet to attain lucidity myself. but after starting a dream journal my dream recall has increased and the vividness of my dreams has increased as well. If your having troubles i think , personaly, one of the most important thngs you can do is keep a journal of your dreams. Its evident in in my experiance that the more you write down will eventually lead to a higher amount of dream recall. As mentioned, anything you can recall at all, even if you jot it down in point form. Spend time each morning thinking of your dreams and throughout the day as well. |

“There's no reality except the one contained within us. That's why so many people live an unreal life. They take images outside them for reality and never allow the world within them to assert itself.”
No tips, but before I finally had my first "on purpose" LD, I was feeling like you are. I just think that for some of us, the skill is a little harder to develop. But, finally, I did and I'm looking forward to more since my confidence is up. So, hang in there! |

Oo interesting.. I shall write down anything I can remember then |

Dream recall is the first step. Keeping a dream journal is the first step to improving dream recall. Also, check out the Lucid Aids subforum. |

yeah dude youve got to keep a dream journal, no matter how odd the dream is and even if you cant remember everything. its very important. not to mention 2 months isnt that much time. youve got to keep at it my friend and dont get discouraged, these things take time and patience. like when you wake up and didnt have an LD just think oh well ill have another shot at it tonight! |

Law abiding citizen by day, breaking the laws of reality by night.
"How can you be aware that you're dreaming, if you're never aware that you're awake?"
Yeah. Keep a dream journal and most of all RELAX. It took me a long time to get my first LD too. Just keep it positive! |

GOOD WILD's: 4 (Got it down Bitches!)
GOOD DILD's: 3

I'd start by avoiding terms like "I cannot". |

If you think you can't, you're right.
The problem may be deeper than dream recall or negative thoughts. It may be a combination of things. You may also have a problem with HOW you do your reality checks. Sometimes reality checks become rote; you do them just because you need to do another reality check. However, this defeats the purpose! We do reallity checks to realize whether or not we are dreaming, not for the sake of looking silly. Be sure that when you do a reality check, you are honestly CHECKING REALITY. Question the things you see around you; "That is a funny looking bird," or "That has to be the strangest blazer ever," or "Is that trash bin really supposed to be there?" etc, etc. Even question things that seem normal, like taking the bus, or reading posts on the forums (do a RC |

Did you try different techniques, like WILD ? |

Dec. 2006 - July 2007:
92 DILDs + 30 WILDs ; 75% too short, 24% decent, ~3 of 2 to 5 minutes
(I stopped counting after that)
Try this when doing reality checks look at what you want to experience in your dreams. This part needs to be precise. For instance do you want to improve logical thinking? If so how so? ...if you want to respond logically withing dreams then periodicaly thru your day rationalize the experience you are in. Ask yourself how you got there? In you waking life ask yourself regardless if the enviroment is new or not, ask If I were here for the first time what would I notice? If you want to improve on memory ask your self periodically what you dreamed &/or what were you doing 10 minutes ago or 1 hour ago, etc. The key thing is is to practice specific mental qualities throught the day. When you do this these practices should never be monotonous. Understand that you life is in a constant state of change. Pay attention. Make this this habit. Make this your reality check. Heres the rub when you live consciously you dream consciously. When you sleep walk thru your waking life and never question it you will live & dream in unconsciousness. What is called for is revolution. Your life is calling. will you answer? |

I was just thinking along these lines for the last few days. I've been trying to do more "comprehensive" RCs, like asking myself what I've been doing, how I got to where I am, if things look "normal" -- and REALLY considering the answers I'm coming up with to make sure they make sense. One thing it has shown me is just how often I am not paying attention to what is going on and just letting things sort of slip by. It's really depressing to see how little I am paying attention to my own life, you know? |
