Affirmations that use the dream you and real you

Is it possible to create an affirmation that combines behaviour of the dream body and real body?

So, instead of an affirmation like, "The next time I'm dreaming I'll know I'm dreaming" (which only applies to the dreaming you) you could create an affirmation like: "The next time my eyes are moving rapidly I will realise I'm dreaming" (which takes your real body and dreaming you into consideration).

I tried the latter the other day in autosuggestion and it didn't work, but I've since found out that autosuggestion is less likely to work if you command it to work on the same night (which is what I did).

Something like this could work, but I don't think that the rapid eye movement is the way to go. I'll explain why. The reason is, while your in REM (rapid eye movement) you are dreaming. Your eyes are moving rapidly because your "dream eyes" are looking around in your dream. It would be like saying, next time I am looking around in a seemingly normal world, I will realise I am dreaming. You won't notice your eyes moving around, because you are just looking around the dream world.

I, however, have told myself before falling asleep, that the next time I am anywhere but waking in my room, I will be dreaming. This has gotten me lucid before actually. I would suggest trying this instead of the rapid eye movement thing. Either way, good luck, and be sure to post your results. I would be interested in hearing them!
