      WILD in a dream

I had a very interesting dream last night. It started out as just a normal non-lucid dream. But when I went to lie down and shut my eyes, I decided to go with it and try a WILD. Within a few seconds I had finished the dream WILD and, expecting to be in a dream, did a RC and became lucid.

I have a lot more to add, but I'll do so later when i'm not sitting in study hall on my phone

Anyone else ever had this happen?

      EDIT:http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=84230 That thread's different.

      Details:
My recall of the begining part is a little shaky. I was in my room with my cousin, and we were playing some sort of video game. There was some sort of (dream) drug involved. I remember among other things my heart was beating fast (after I took it), so I decided to lie down (in the middle of my floor, oddly, although I was lying on something) and close my eyes. I felt more calm, and my heat beat slowed to normal. I have no clue what gave me the idea to WILD or why I did, but I did. In seconds I started getting really vivid HI, then a bright light, and I felt dissacociated from my (dream) physical body, then entered into a dream, which looked like the one I just left (I was on my floor in my room and my cousin was there). I looked up at my clock, and the time changed as I was looking at it. I did another RC to confirm. As I stood up the first thing I noticed was that everything was extremely vivid and clear, It looked almost like waking life. I remember saying something to my cousin, and all of his respnses were coherent and made sense, as if i were talking to him in waking life (this is unusual for my dreams). Shortly after that we were leaving my room, and I was talking about what I wanted to do in the dream, I said I wanted to go outside and fly a bit. My awareness must have been just about gone, perhaps between the high level of realism (above any of my previous lucid dreams), and the conversation I had with my cousin, my mind was just confused/didn't accept it as a dream, something like that. I stepped into my bathroom and hit the light switch (lights didn't come on) and went over to the toilet. Suddenly I realized what was going on and firmly repeated to myself "this is a dream". Right about then I woke up.

The interesting part is that I thought it was a WILD while I was in the dream. When I became lucid my first thought was "alright, I finaly WILDed!". I didn't realize untill after I had woken up what had happened. I also find it interesting that this lucid dream just happened to be my most realistic and clear yet. I was thinking, perhaps this was because I thought it was a WILD and, having heard befre that WILDs tend to be more vivid than DILDs, I expected the dream to be so, and it was.

Any comments, ideas, or similar stories?

yes this has happened to me before! Basically I was lying down in my bed in my dream and I got what I thought was SP and thought "wow I can WILD now!" and I opened my eyes and was in a lucid dream! I realised once I woke up that I had been dreaming all along.

I decided to try a WILD in a dream once, and like you I didn't become lucid until I believed I had successfully WILDed. lol.

I suppose technically speaking you can call it a false awakening within the dream.

Either way, it got you lucid.
