Smile What technique would this be called?

It seems like DEILD, but I'm not sure.

I set an alarm to wake me up when I'll be deep in a dream (about 30 minutes to an hour before I normally wake up) and immediately turn off the alarm and lay back down to sleep again. I don't do anything to try to wake up further, all I do is repeat to myself like a mantra 'i am dreaming' so I don't forget, so as soon as I am dreaming no matter how illogically I was thinking I couldn't possibly have forgotten that I was dreaming because I just said it. Usually I only need to say 'i am dreaming' 5 or 6 times before I'm asleep.

I don't try to visualize or anything, I just repeat the mantra and trust that I'll fall asleep very quickly.

So far this has worked very well when I time the alarm right and the faster I lay back down the better.

From the DEILD tutorial here: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=62769

DEILD stands for Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream. DEILD is also sometimes called "Dream Chaining." A DEILD is basically a shortened WILD. DEILD has the potential to let you have multiple lucid dream each night. This technique takes advantage of the fact that as you awaken from a dream the brain remains in dream mode for a few moments, provided you don't move. Since your brain is still using REM waves, you can easily slip back into a dream without having to trick your body into falling asleep. However, if you are at the end of a REM phase you won't be able to DEILD. If you do this technique right you are almost guaranteed a successful LD.
So yes that was a DEILD

personally i think that DEILD is one of the best methods which is almost universal in its ability to give an LD.

Is there a way I can set an alarm to automatically shut off after a few seconds? So i wouldn't have to move? Maybe a program on the computer?
