My Technique For Better Dream Recall

When i first started trying to become lucid i had more trouble with remembering my dreams than anything else. Reading the techniqes on this site has helped and i adopted the dream journal wich really did help. The thing that has helped me the most is every night b4 i go to sleep i try to remember every thing i have done that day. As i lay there my mind starts drifting off and i make myslef go threw my entire day. I dont know if it will help any one else, but my dream recall has goteen 10 times better since i have started doing this.

Might as well give it a shot... though your half puking sad faces might make people hesitant.

Yes, I have started doing this when I write my diary at night. I like to think that this helps me to be more mindful during the day and notice small details.

What I have done to help me recall events from the day is to create some "triggers" to help me remember. I also like to try to recall things I have "forgotten" (ie, things that I would not normally consider important enough to write about in my diary at night). Here are the six triggers:

      Situations/Events
      Objects
      Beings (People, animals)
      Times
      Activties
      Places

I often find that remembering something from one of the triggers (eg: Places - I remember going to the local shop) can help to prompt a memory from one of the other triggers. Eg: The place = the local shop, which reminds me of a person, a guy who was arguing with the girl in the shop, etc.

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

Wow thats a fantastic idea. Unfortunately I don't keep a Waking diary but its great advice regardless; also the ability to recall waking life may help dream recall to some extent.
Controlling my feelings for too long,
Forcing our darkest souls to unfold,
      Pushing us into self destruction.

They make me dream.... Make me dream, your dreams.
They make me scream.... Make me scream, and scream.
