      Best Success! New Technique...

Right i jus wanted to explain my own perosnal technique to lding. note you have to have a good recall and also a chosen technique with clear goals as per usual.

      1) I go to sleep in my normal bed and, using my internal clock, wake myself up after a REM period.

2)when i wake up i write in my journal and perhaps read abit of Laberge, meditate or do that maths game on DR kawashimas lol.

Sounds like a normal WBTB right? but i will then use some psychological technique to make my brain KNOW not think ill be lucid when i go back to bed.

3)I then go and lay down in my spare bed i only use for lding. This sets an intention which is incredibly strong in my mind that im now going to lucid dream.Note: a spare mattress, comfy sofa or floor will do the trick so long as you are not in the same room. And also remember i can take a few attempts to get it to set the intention.

      4) Then i choose what technique i will be doing as im a WILD-man i nearly always do WILD. Then in my opinion i get around 80% more lucids than staying put.

i even gave it my own acronym hehe IRILD (Intimacy-Removed-Induced-Lucid-Dream) lol. Hope this helps some

I like the idea of a sleeping space dedicated for LD.

That should reinforce the desire and expectation of having an LD.

If you always sleep om the right side of the bed, will sleeping on the left side do the trick with it?

if u start to mentally say to yourself that this side is only for lucid dreaming then it should increase intention

Not strictly new, because this is what Clairity discusses in her WILD technique.

Allow me to elaborate on a good, but somewhat poorly explained technique:

      1) I go to sleep in my normal bed and, using my internal clock, wake myself up after a REM period.
Step number one assumes that you have trained yourself to wake up after every REM cycle. There are many numerous ways to train yourself for this, and are well explained in the DEILD tutorial by The Dream Guide Team

Of course, you could also just awaken yourself by means of external stimulation, like an alarm clock. It must be done so you are woken within a REM period. You will usually have a good chance of this by setting it to wake you up about four hours after you go to sleep.

2)when i wake up i write in my journal and perhaps read abit of Laberge, meditate or do that maths game on DR kawashimas lol.
The second step has a part one, and two to it. Part one is optional, but highly recommended. This is to recall the dream that you had before awakening, and write it down in your journal. The dream recall tutorial by The Dream Guide Team has some good advice on gaining good dream recall.

Part two is also optional, but again highly recommended. You should read some material on lucid dreaming. Maybe browse this website, or pull out a good book on the topic. Emerse your mind in lucid dreaming for a bit. Don't stay up too long. Ten to thirty minutes works well for most people. Stay relaxed in the meantime. Don't go walking around, exercising or anything. Keep yourself relaxed and sleepy.

Part 3: Find a place to sleep other then your normal bed. Anything comfortable works fine. A couch, mattress, spare bed, even a sleeping bag or inflatable mattress. From now on, you will use this place for lucid dreaming. When you do an LD technique, you will this one spot, and not your normal bed. Any lucid dreams that you have on your own bed are purely by accident. Setting aside a special place to LD will further convince your mind of your willingness, and by obvious psychology, the more lucid dreams you have here, the more lucid dreams you will continue to have, as your mind will eventually associate this spot with the lucid dreaming state of mind.

      4) Then i choose what technique i will be doing as im a WILD-man i nearly always do WILD. Then in my opinion i get around 80% more lucids than staying put.
Step 4: Finally, choose whatever technique you like. WBTB, and WILDS are probably your best bet. But you can also try other things like FILD, or DEILD. The choice is yours.

i even gave it my own acronym hehe IRILD (Intimacy-Removed-Induced-Lucid-Dream) lol. Hope this helps some
Translation: I even gave this technique my own acronym, hee hee. IRLD, which stands for Intimacy-Removed-Induced-Lucid-Dream. Lol! I hope this helps you guys.

Would this work if i for example sleep on my bed on the right side of my pillow for sleeping, and after waking up via alarm and writing in my dream journal and then i will look at dreamviews on my ipod touch for around 15 minutes, and then i sleep on the left side of my pillow and then tell myself mentally that is where i will have my lucid dreams, will that work?
