Remember, no matter how many times you wake up, you are still dreaming....
yea man i hate that, sometimes i do reality checks and get results that would suggest that i'm dreaming, but i either make excuses as to whats going on or i don't seem to fully appreciate that i am in a dream and dont become completely lucid. This is just a suggestion that i am also in the process of trying, but i am practicing making my checks more elaborate and involved so that in a dream they may have a greater impact. Instead of just looking doing a reality check on a clock, i now follow it with other tests like reading, object function, or even seeing if i can fly...of course only when im alone. But im hoping that by practicing a series of checks in a row, visual and physical, if i can get that habit stuck in my brain, that when i do them in succesion in a dream, it will reinforce things stronger and might "wake" me up. |

That's happened to me once. I had a dream that I was in a car, the sky was a weird color. The dashboard of the car had a clock on it. I looked at the clock, then I looked at it again a few seconds later. The clock moved forward five minutes. I didn't think I was dreaming. It was annoying when I woke up. |

I remember one time when I was dreaming and something really wild was happening, I forget what. I kept telling myself, "There has got to be a dream". So I did reality checks and none of them worked. I was completely 50/50 on whether or not I was dreaming. I remember doing checks on more than one clock, and every one showed a different time whenever I looked. And I remember very clearly thinking, "Damn, how am I supposed to do reality checks if all my clocks are broken???". Woke up without ever deciding if I was dreaming. |

Weird... I was actually coming onto the forum to say the exact same thing! It happened to me last night!! |

yes it happened and its really frustrating... but i guess its better than nothing |

I almost had my first lucid dream last night, but the reality checks failed me. I was dreaming that i was riding a bike and i realized that i had 2 helmets on, which made me sure i was dreaming. But when i did a reality check, trying to stick my finger through the palm of my other hand, it didnt work. then i tried to fly and it didnt work. i couldnt think of any other reality checks at the time, so i forgot that i was dreaming. |

Try to touch something, actually visually and "physically" touching an object, I've noticed, brings you into the dream like nothing else. After that, try flying to test what reality you're in. Once flight is possible it's your game from there on. -Torch |
