3 Nights and no Dream Recalls. Am I doing something wrong???

Okay, last Monday I accidently came across Reecejones87 on youtube, and watched his vids on Lucid beginners. Before this I had NEVER HEARD OF LUCID DREAMING. After stumbling upon this I knew that obtaining lucidity and dreaming and dream recalling was for me because I dream A LOT! And also, I recall dreams very often, AND I have very vivid dreams. But I don't think I ever became lucid whilst dreaming.

So now that I've have completely saturated myself into this amazing phenomena, I have only recalled 4 dreams. 1 dream was from one night. And the other 3 were from another night 3 nights after the first. Since then I've had 3 consecutive non-recalled nights of sleep.

      UGH!!!! What do I do???

Don't worry! Relax! Sometimes when you first learn about lucid dreaming, the idea is so exciting you don't dream as normal as before. Make sure you are getting enough hours of sleep, and make sure you are still going to sleep relaxed. Try not to be too anxious as to whether or not you'll dream tonight, because that can actually ruin your chances of having good dreams. I know, been there.

Keep a dream journal. Even if you only remember a fragment or two, or even just the emotions attached to dreams, write them down. It really helps a lot. When you wake up, hold as still as possible while you collect your thoughts and try to remember your dreams. Before falling asleep, affirm to yourself that you WILL remember your dreams, especially by using a mantra. "I WILL remember my dreams" is nice and short, and you can fall into a sort of rhythm with it. Get enough sleep, and don't worry about it. You'll settle back down in no time.

      OMG!!!!

I just woke up after a near two hour nap and guess how many dream recalls I had.........6!!!!!!

That's right. SIX dreams! OMG I felt like I was asleep for AGES!!! But I wasn't and it feels sooo good to remember my dreams again.

But now I'm finding myself thinking about how I could become aware now. I don't want to try and rush it, as I've now recalled my dreams just now, but I do want to start questioning myself whilst in a dream more often and doing rea(doing them now)lity checks after I wake up and during the dream.

      YAAAAYYY!!!!

3 nights without dreamrecall? Don't you worry. I've had 3+ years of little to no dreamrecall recall. Mostly due to stress, distraction and lengthy and severe Insomnia episodes.

If you normally have such great dreamrecall, you're blessed. It'll come back to you.

...i occassionally have slumps like that. Sometimes if your thinking about LDing to much it can stop the recall. Relax for a bit...it'll come back
