      BEST NEW MTHOD YET!

[b]I HAVE FOUND THE MOST EFFECTIVE METHOD. (I HOPE)
Out of 15 tries in one week I have had 13 succesful lucid dreams and the other two was because I messed up. Anyway, I will get straight to the point because my other topic was really long and after I finished it messed up and didn't get posted. The procedure:

      1. Record someone (not you) saying this phrase (change as much of it as you want and dont make the phrase repeat the same thing):

YOU ARE DREAMING, YOU ARE DREAMING. THIS IS A DREAM AND WE ARE IN IT. LOOK AROUND YOU. LETS BECOME LUCID.

      2. Make sure that the player you are using keeps on going for about 30 min.

      3. Go to sleep while you are very very tired. (cuz the talking from the player might keep you awake sometimes even if your kinda tired.)

      THAT IS IT!!
Now this is what always happens to me. First I go to sleep while I'm listening to my computer's TEXT-TO-SPEECH program to read the phrase off of Notepad for 30 min. Then I would dream and when I hear the recordng in the waking world it plays out in my dream, so someone would come up to me andstart repeating the top phrase (IN RED). So then I would say "I AM DREAMING!" And become lucid!

      HOW IT WORKS:
Probably everyone here already knows that anything you here in the waking world while your dreaming is acted out in the dream. BUT BE CAREFUL:

      1. Make sure the recording doesn't keep repeating (ex: YOU ARE DREAMING, YOU ARE DREAMING........)
because it will become hypnotic and you might not even here it in the dream. So add in things like long pauses, different sentences, and make sure the recording waits about 10 seconds to repeat the phrase.

      2. Make sure the recording is from someone else not you! Because when you here it in the dream it will feel like it's a repeating thought in your head and you wont pay attention to it. (If there is no one to record it then go ahead and try.)

WELL THAT'S IT!! GOOD LUCK AND TELL ME IF IT WORKS FOR YOU!
NOW IF ANYONE WILL COME-UP WITH A GOOD NAME FOR IT!

      Hi DreamKing! Welcome to Dreamviews!

Sounds like a fine idea to me! Come on all of you without spouses or significant others, give this a try!

I wonder if I could train myself to sleep with headphones on??

One other thing you might want to try is to use your windows scheduler to try to lauch this during one of your REM periods later in the night, or make an MP3pro recording with enough silence at the beginning?

Hmm, guess if you use your text to speech, it should be called "Windows something" =P Who knows, maybe Bill Gates will buy you out and you can retire!

First of all thank you for welcoming me.
Now I don't know who you are trying to get and attitude with you over grown monkey!
Anyways yes, you can sleep with headphones on and I never said you had to anyways, I said I do that.
Also yes, you can have your cd player silent for 30 min. before it starts playing. BY RECORDING 30 MIN. OF NOTHNG...... DUPHIS!! Finally It's not called "Windows whatever......" it's called Web Speak!
maybe Dumb And Dummer will buy you out and you can retire!

Well, the thought of Bill Gates is scary enough

Anyway, this could work, but the problem with me is, I'm a very light sleeper, so I'd never be able to fall asleep with it on. I still have trouble since the farm nex to me got chickens,.

Holy cow! Going for a new record for pissing people off in one day there, DK? I can't see anything Seeker said that warranted that kind of blast.

Oh, and if you're going to call someone a "doofus", at least spell it correctly.

OMG Dreamking, what worm crawled up your butt? Blatantly insulting Seeker? He oughta ban you for that...or maybe Kaniaz should, he probably would have the guts to after seeing this little exchange. Jeez, that's some chutzpah you've got there...

Alright I recorded a sound clip that loops every 20 seconds for an hour telling myself I am dreaming and to do a RC...Now the part that im confused with is if I should burn it onto a CD and listen to it *while* im falling asleep or do I have to have a timer to make it play when I start dreaming?(90-100 minutes into sleep)

hmm... I do have one question about this method though.

If you have the recording playing over and over during your dream, say the recording lasted throughout your REM period. Would that mean you'd be somehow listening to that over and over and over throughout yout dream? Also, if someone came up to you and started saying things from the recording, would he keep saying that over and over, and perhaps follow you everywhere in your dream???

It sounds like a great method though, and I'll prolly try it soon. I was just wanting to make sure there wouldn't be some weird guy following me around saying "you're dreaming."

No problem, just blast the guy, or eat him, or something.

But I'm not taking responsibility for broken CD players.

Hey this sounds like a really great idea. Im rushing to get it working so I can do it tonight ;D

Im downloading a free text-to-speech program now ( http://www.bytecool.com/dlcoolspch.htm ) and I think Ill rephrase the 'YOU ARE DREAMING' thing about 5 or so times and then just repeat the 5 in a text file.

Sounds like a really good technique, and a lot of good advice was given on using the method also. My compliments to the Seeker who although wrongly accused and attacked, responded with a simple Have a nice day, and a smiley face and thumbs up sign. Seeker shows a lot of maturity and signs of a truly great leader. His vibratations must be really high to be able to respond in this way. Personally I use small desktop speakers to listen to suggestions at night, with one on each side of my pillow. Although not quite as effective with some of the hemi-sync tapes as a headset would be, at least I don't wake up the next morning with my headset thrown clear to the other side of my bed.

I've used this for 20 days or something now, and it MAY have given me two lucid dreams. That's 50% of all the LDs Ive had.

Im not sure if it was the tape or other circumstances. I didnt become lucid because I heard the warning, I just became lucid for no reason.

      Trying It This Weekend.

Well, I have yet to lucid dream and I'm at the point where I'm willing to try anything.

For the next two nights I'm going to give this method a shot (got the ol' iPod set on a sleep timer) and I'll report back on Sunday as to how my attempts at lding turned out.

      Can't wait...
      Greg.

Out of interest, how are you guys listening to it? With headphones, or with speakers?

I'm going to try it sometime next week (I'm busy trying some other techniques for the next little while,) so I wanted to know which way seems ot be best.
