      Results.

All right, so the results are in. This method hasn't worked for me yet, but I think I might be able to fix that. After trying all different variations of this technique, I think tonight I'm going to do the following.

      - Take a B-Complex vitamin before I go to sleep (they definitely help with my ability to stay more aware when I'm falling asleep)
      - Set the iPod on a 60 min. sleep timer and just lie there listening to it (kinda reminds me of WILD)
      - Set the iPod alarm clock to wake me up 4-6 hours later by playing the exact same vocal track I was listening to while I was sleeping (I have to figure out a way to make it loud enough for it to have an effect, but not so loud that it will wake me up).

Anyway, that's the plan for this week. I'll let you guys know if anything develops.

I was reading this thread and couldn't help but notice that just one day prior to the original posting, I had suggested the delayed sound inducing technique here - so much of that early hostility could have been avoided... (or directed at me!)

Anyway I've stopped trying it - I would find myself either being up just prior to the message or waking up from it. The best thing to do if you are commited enought is to keep trying it but changing the iPod alarm time and hope it goes off at that perfect time during your sleep.

I started at 4am, then 5:15, then 3:30, and so on. I think it requires some luck, unfortunately.

The latest technique I tried involves the BrainwaveGen software. I programed my own sequence and put it on my iPod as well and ran it all night. Didn't get any results, but I only tried it once, so I need to get back to it.

Hell, I'll try anything just short of rubbing intestines from a pig slaughtered under a harvest moon at mindnight on my forehead! (not that I've tried such a thing )

      Info Appriciated.

That's, for the info, man. That's awesome. I'll give the alarm thing a try.

P.S. I'm totally with you... hell, pig intestines don't even seem outta the question if it means I'll LD. Haha!

      Something that I noticed here...

When I read the first few posts, I got a distinctive sarcastic/joking tone from DK's posts. Then, I noticed that about 1/3 to 1/2 of the posts included some mention of DK's excessive hostility, or Seeker's cool in the face of insult, or whatever. I didn't think much of this joking back and forth between Seeker and DK, but when everyone kept bringing it up, I figured that I'd post something.

      So, I posted something.

Am I the only one who got this "joking" vibe from DK's and Seeker's posts?

well this is not a very original technique, its general idea has been mentioned and discussed here before.

From Seeker - yes. DreamKing - nope, looks like flamebaiting to me. Especially since he seems to be suffering a case of just desserts. Still, even if it was a joke, it's a very tasteless one. It's pratically baiting an adminstrator to get angry with you, which is never a good thing.

Because you should always keep in mind they have the luxury of that ban button.
