I have found the most effective way for myself to become lucid is to set an alarm clock for the later portions of the night. immediatly shut it it off and wild from there. is that just a standard wild or is there a name for it. i though it might be wbtb but it seems like your suppost to be awake for a period of time for that technique. this one is like an instant shut off strait into wild. Newbie question

People do it, though I'm not sure if it has a name. I'd say it still counts as a WBTB WILD, just with a very short WBTB. I myself do that. I have a hard time falling asleep after I wake up, so I try not to wake up even more.

ya i guess it would be exept i turn it off lol. its quit easy though cus i put my phone right beside me face down and all i have to do to shut it off is push down on the phone so it works well. worked last night

I do the same thing (A nice way to quickly WILD). That's just called a WILD I believe.

If you're worried, just think of it as a very brief WBTB. Whatever works for you.
