      The Students Induction Technique

Hi everyone. I am a university student and as such find it very hard to make time to employ LD induction techniques. So i started designing a method that i could easily use everyday.

      METHOD
      1. Get several hours of sleep
      2. set recurrent alarm. This is an alarm that will go off at the same time on specified days of the week, most cell phones have this function. Set it maybe an hour or more before you generally wake up.
      3. Lie still on you back with your eyes open.
      4. closely observe your surroundings and wait for Sleep Paralysis to set in.
      5. close your eyes and visualize the the surroundings you just observed. Attempt to reconstruct you surroundings as realistically as possible. Be in your room
      6. if the memory of your surroundings begin to fade employ reverse blinking
      7. try to consciously enter your dream. Get out of your bed in your dream.
      8. do reality checks
      9. stabilize
      10. have fun, jump, fly, bounce, meditate....

The idea here is to transition from lying in your room in reality to lying in your room in a lucid dream. You will emulate the visual sensation of lying in your room. This is like imagining being in your room while your in your room, easy right, try it now. Their is no need to emulate auditory and tactile sensations as they will persist. I all goes according to plan your simulation will become a dream and you will be lucid.

I will be trying this over the next couple weeks and encourage you to try as well. Has anyone tried this method? would you change anything? Please comment.

Please do not attempt to inform me that this method is a modified WBTB or V-WILD. I am well aware of this fact.

I tried this the yesterday. I was unable to keep my eyes open and fell asleep. I tried again today. I had much difficulty keeping my eyes open. Lying still i could feel the onset of SP but another alarm went off. I had to turn it off. Pissed off i went immediately to sleep.

How can i make it easier to keep my eyes open and stay conscious through this process.

Do you have any time to nap early in the morning/afternoon in between classes? For me that used to be prime lucid dreaming time.

(also your sig is way too big can you resize it to fit the new size rule?)

I nap on the ride to school sometimes. Generally i will have zero recall during these naps and don't really view them as an opportunity to become lucid. I guess by this time my rem cycle has ended.

Wow, you have the exact opposite of the problem i have, i can't keep my eyes closed, but i'm gonna try this. Maybe i'll hit sleep paralysis which i haven't done in a long while now, nice technique, thanks.

You can't keep your eyes closed? How can i keep my eyes open like you. It's so hard to do in the morning.
