I had this idea. I don't know if it's doable because I don't know much about computers. |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
It's a brilliant idea but the web cam would have to be a nightcam to be able to 'see' into the darkeness and I think those don't come cheap. And also about the time zone issue unless the other guy dosen't work during the day so he can watch for your REM when you sleep... |

Very good idea. But it has quite a few limitations. First, timezone difference would mean that you would be hard-pushed to find someone on DV who is willing to do that. Second, in the modern society, most people do not have enough time, neither the patience to endure constantly looking at a persons face. If we want to detect REM sleep, the other guys would have to be alert and conscious the WHOLE time, and I bet that's not easy. Third, even if you could sleep with the lights on so that the other person can look at your face, you would unconsciously twist, turn or roll in bed after a while, which can hide your eyes and make it inconvenient. Lastly, it would be quite challenging to send a signal to someone during their REM sleep that doesn't wake them up and can reach through their dreams. |

'The petals dance through the wind,
The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
rises a black moon.'

It's not that hard I think I'm not an expert in electronics but I think they do sell interface kits at like radioshack to activate appliances. Maybe a light or an alarm or something. If I did not have my job then I may volunteer to test it out though....too bad this post wasn't posted before I got a job.. |
