      First time in SP, weird experience.

      About 4 or 5 days ago I was attempting a WILD, and I entered SP for the first time. It was an extremely weird experience, and it scared the hell out of me. As I was laying down I didn't really feel the "blanket or heaviness" that people say they've felt, but I hear a really loud noise on my ears. It was like two airplane engines right inside my hears. I also kind of felt like I was floating at a 45 degree angle and I couldn't really feel my bed. I knew it was SP so I knew not to get to excited. I couldn't open my eyes, and after a minute I could feel and hear a lot of bats entering my room through my window. Of course they weren't real, but I could hear them and feel them fluttering around me so I started to freak out trying to get out of it. After a few minutes I broke out of it and I could start feeling my bed again and all the noises went away except my stereo, which I went to bed with on. It was an exciting and weird experience that I'd like to try again.

      Yeah, I got almost EXCACTLY the same experience, Its like a rush of wind past your ears (like the sound effect in Lost, when it goes back in time). It also feels like your flying up and down randomly and its a really nice experience in my cases
      Also, last night I felt this (after waking up half asleep) and then I remembered reading about scary hullucinations (which I have never hadafter doing this 4 or 5 times) so I stopped and fell asleep normally. WHAT A DICK.
      LD = 4

      Yeah, based on what I've experienced and heard from others, explicitly frightening SP experiences are rare isolated incidents. It's just the mind stopping what is an otherwise constant monitoring and imaging of the body's position, hence the idea of the separation of body and mind, as at this point the mind reduces and eventually cuts off sensory input from the body.

      I dont know if I'll ever be able to get through SP. I've felt it once, but as soon as I heard noises when my body got all fuzzy, I freaked. I had to break out of it. I'm too much of a baby in the dark.
