BILD-Band Initiated Lucid Dream

BILD stands for Band Initiated Lucid Dream. Yes, I found two different BILD methods, but they're from 2009, so who cares? Anyway, I know what you're thinking:Band? Band, as in musical band. My favorite band is Green Day. I see them in plenty of my dreams. You see, what's the chance of meeting my idol band? A low chance. Yes I know, what about going to a concert? Well, that's only part of what will help you.

LUCID AID

The BILD is not really a method, but an aid. This aid works for anyone who uses a method that requires realty checks. For example, the MILD. I use the MILD myself. So, it may raise your chance for a successful LD.

WHEN DO I RC?

Well, there is one time to do a reality check with this aid. Either when you see the band on TV, go to a concert and see them, or hear a song by them. If you hear one of their songs playing in your head, then you should definantly RC.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You see, if you see your favorite band in a dream, you must be so amazed to see them, right? Well, by RCing as explained above^, it will carry over into your dream. You'll think:Hey, this is my favorite band, I need to RC! KABOOM! And lucidity will play its roll. However, as we all know, RCs sometimes fail, so I hope that's not a common thing for you.

THE POINT

Some of you may say:Well, what if I never see my favorite band in my dreams? Well, that's not 100% problematic. You can aid this aid, by adding multiple bands to the list. This will help. People usually listen to music everyday, and a lot of people probably see musical groups in some dreams. I myself don't see Green Day in EVERY dream. That's why this is an aid. If you feel this won't work, then don't try it. In fact, this aid might be more useful to people who listen to their favorite band all the time.

PROS

If you remember to RC at the right times^, there's a large chance you'll remember to RC at the right time in a dream.

CONS

This aid can only be used for people who do RCs.
Some people never see their favorite band(s) in their dreams.

How does this differ from reality checking to any other dream sign or something seen frequently in waking life? For example, if I RC everytime I see a car, and become lucid from it, that doesn't make it a "CILD". It's still a DILD.

Yep, the band in this case is just a qeue to do a reality check. That's the case for any other event that wouldn't normally occur in real life -> Example: "Huh, there's a duck statue floating in my living room."

But it includes events that the dreamer chooses to be qeues for an RC (car sightings, per Akono's example).
