Shared? Dream Guide? Deep Dream? AP?

What are your opinions about this? I don't really know and I can't judge this all by myself.

04/20/2011 - Shared? Dream Guide? Astral Projection?

      In short:

      • Sudden earache followed by a transition in a dream, happened twice.
      • Counting-finger and gravity reality checks came out true: it was not a dream.
      • Man attacking me for no apparent reasons: he knows how to summon things, attack and basically control the dream.
      • The man and I can't control the dream; the man himself is confused because he was expecting the spell/summon to work.
      • Glowing orbs blocking dream control? We could summon things without the presence of the orbs.
      • Lucid but sort of unaware of the physic plane: deep dreaming? I realised that there was a -waking life- only when I really woke up.

Sounds like a very deep dream to me. I did have a question about this:

I make a reality check, multiple times, I have five fingers on each hand; I also try to fly, it doesn't work; is it not a dream?
Were those the only reality checks you did? Because these are not good, definitive RCs. Not being able to fly in a dream when you're unsure if you're actually dreaming is typical, having normal numbers of fingers on your hands in a dream is typical. You need a concrete RC method. Using a digital clock is always a foolproof one that will tell you, for certain, whether you're awake or asleep.

To me it sounds like you had a very very vivid dream, and perhaps the person you encountered could be your dream guide, who knows? Try to find him again in another LD.

I can recall those two reality checks, I'm not really sure if I have done anything else.
I was used to check reality by closing the nose, then I switched to hands so I could vary the checks.

Definitely sounds like you were in a deep dreaming state. Possibly, that man is your dream guide, but I can't be sure; I still have yet to meet mine!

I've felt that transition many times before, though for me, it's never painful or achey. I'm almost always in SP when it happens, and then I feel like I'm floating upwards, and my head is getting lighter and lighter. I'm always aware that I'm going to enter a dream before it happens too, mostly because the SP is a good tip off.

Sounds like you were on the astral plane, a mix of the physical plane and dream plane. Next time try the nose pinch RC. It's crazy when everything looks so realistic, doesn't it?
