A stranger in my dream?

I don't even know where to begin. I just know that I'm confused, intrigued, and hoping that somebody else can provide answers or feedback based on personal experience.

I met somebody in my "dream" last night. We did not recognize one another by face, but we knew eachother. It was intense.

I have always been able to fully control my lucid dreams. This dream had the vivid quality of a lucid dream but HE had the control. I say this because each time my body would start to wake up in real life, I would pass out or fall asleep in the dreamworld, and he would wake me up which is what kept me in the "dream" for a really long time. Eventually I woke up, but something hasn't felt right all day. Like, I still feel him.

I've seen/communicated with spirits before, and this didn't FEEL like that...

I can't even describe this any further. I am far more articulate than this usually, but today I am literally at a loss for words.

Can anybody tell me what this might have been?

A dream character

A manifestation of your subconscious

An entity on the dream plane

Another Dreamer

That's all I can think of, hopefully someone has some more insight, but try to see if any of these resonate with you.

Your dream guide perhaps? I've heard people talking about dream characters or people that guide them in their dreams. Most posts I've read about them have also said that the characters seem to have a different feeling about them and that they have the ability to control your dream. I wouldn't really know though, since I've never encountered anything similar to what you described. You can try looking up information on dream guides and see if you see any similarities between your experience and theirs.

I wish I had a dream guide and/or cool entity in my dream. I read Hyu had an experience like that, but I was gone for more than half a year so I don't know how things are now. Hyu is still on dream views though, so you can look for him and ask him.
