Thank you for this question Dreambliss.
I have no answere for you or anyone. But this question opened up answers just for me.
I was a serial manogamist concerning belief-systems. In the begining it was nursery rhymns and chicken little and the sky is falling kids story, (the first cardboard picture book I ever read). Aged about <7.
Then Hey Jude, (long version) heard on the radio, Beatles original. When about 8 years old. Pluss mum singing, "You got to learn from hard experiens. And live and learn that life must go on...." I was 8 years old.
FairyTales were my first belief system followed by songs on the radio in the 1960s. Then a bit of Penticostal and Salvation Army singing church services.
From age 10 to 13 my belief system changed dramatically to my mums passion for Lobsang Rampa books, (astral traveling and what really happens after death and such) Also I owned a and fell in love with a pony. My imagination absorbed Henry Lawson and Banjo Patterson because I lived in a tiny old country town and lived in a Homestead on 1200 acers.
At 14 to 17.5 years The world of Hindu, Buddhist, Carlo Casanado, Sihk Masters, Greek myth and Tarot. Not to mention an hour of meditation soon as I woke and just before sleep.
Big quantum shift at 17.5 years of age to 23ish CLARK TALOR's Chistian Outreach Center and mighty salvation, (repentence and delverance from all former Belief Systems).
I think I am saying that I understand the question you ask, (I think).
One needs a culture full of stories to make the metaphorical language that the greater realities can contact, (communicate to) us through.

OK so to paraphrase Moen basically you have an Interpreter and an Perceiver operating when you project.
The Perceiver sees everything,
and the Interpreter is constantly trying to find the nearest similar thing to the individual's experience.
So if your Perceiver notices a large, orange cat with huge fangs, and you have never seen a picture or read about saber-tooth tigers, your Interpreter will bring to mind an image of a very large orange cat.
OK, so we know what our "reality" looks like. We have things that come into our awareness like trees, flowers, etc. Sometimes we know more specific details.
But
we have little or no knowledge of other realities, aliens worlds, etc. We have no nearest similar thing in some cases to make sense of something our Perceiver has noticed. I have now experienced this for myself.
Without going into details I have a relationship with someone in another reality. They have shown me a picture of what they really look like. Until now she has worn various forms based on what they could access through our energetic connection. The picture of their real form to me looks like a jumbled mass of geometry. I can just make out a triangle and a square, then a big cluster of shapes that move and jumble around.
Interpreter crash I guess.
Same thing for their world. I can make out something like trees, like outside, but then things get jumbled around.
I asked her about her real form. Is it physical. She can't say, from what I gather she is not allowed or something.
Is it spiritual? No. Is it mental? Yes. So her reality, and her form, lies in some weird mental/physical space.
It is, for now, untranslatable to me.
My Perceiver just takes in what it sees and goes merrily along its way. My Interpreter pulls out all the stops and has a system failure. That's my theory anyhow.
So what can I do to give my Interpreter more material to work with?
I have a vivid imagination, lots of images from books from countless subjects, and all that has not been enough. Is there some way to bring, "other reality" material into my mind, so perhaps the Interpreter can come up with some nearest similar thing to the objects of my love's world and herself?

The deepest myths I know are in the form of a huge work, (Channelled by Ganesh) called the Shri Mad Bagavatam. You hardly need to read it because every picture in that massive work transports you to places and concepts.
What's more it is not a dead myth. Millions on this planet live "steeped" in the reality of their myth. Their dreams from womb to tomb, (or funeral pyer) are within, inside, this myth.
These folk rise 2 hours before dawm, (where ever they are) to meditate and be with their God because the god of their myth promised to meditate 2 hours before dawn, till dawn, forever, to be with them.
You are right, Dreambliss
It is the depth of your ... Mind and Imagination that developes the interface to the other worlds and their inhabitants.
I know one thing I can do is continue my projection sessions. Keep projecting, expose myself to things on the astral and spiritual planes.
Outside of that I have no idea what else I can do. I have stated my intention to see clearly, to understand, to comprehend, as you would do when projecting, but that has not helped. Just want to know what other things I can do so I can make sense of this other reality and this one special inhabitant in particular.
Appreciate your help!
