An OOBE (Out of body experience) is any non-physical experience you can have. In Robert Monroe's book he describe his belief with the following:
I didn't like the astral projection term so I call it OOBE. Although OOBE is a wrong term as well when I now know that we are not in the body in the first place. Only our soul or what you want to call it is. So for simplicity every non-physical experience counts as an OOBE.
I am trying to prove that OOBE exists just like Monroe. And ironically last night I had the most vivid lucid dream ever. So vivid that I at the time considered it as not a dream, but an experience in another physical reality. Usually I am not perfectly aware in my lucid dreams, and if I am I don't have the memories from the physical world so I can interpret it fully. And I always get distracted by dream chores. But not this time, this experience was perfectly real, not controlled by expectations (Important!) and I had physical memory.
I hope this helped. You can read the whole experience in my DJ.
