Exclamation Is this an OBE or a lucid nightmare?

So this morning I was in a dream where I was lying in my bed (in a room completely different to mine) thinking about OBE's (unaware I was dreaming), and I randomly tried to see if I could do a 360 rotation (I had my eyes open and was staring at something on the ceiling directly above me). To my astonishment, I did it perfectly; it made me feel really queezy though. I kept doing this to see what would happen and eventually it started happening out of my control and I was spinning constantly. I got worried at this point because I couldn't stop what was happening and tried to slow the spinning down. At first, I had no luck, but eventually I manage to slow it down a bit. Then something came over me. This strange feeling which felt like I was going through some sort of change, just swept over me like a sheet. I didn't know what to think of it - all I knew was that I had done something which meant the ball was rolling, and wouldn't stop.
Then my eyes were forced shut, and the spinning stopped (not sure if I was dreaming or awake at this point). I wondered if I had gotten somewhere so I tried moving my right arm. It felt sleep paralysis-ish as it was hard to move and heavy, so I stopped and tried my left - I had full control over it, and it was as light as a feather. I opened my eyes slightly to see what was happening, and I could see 2 arms (and I was also back in my room). One being my real one, perfectly still next to my side, and one being my 'other' one, moving around. I shut my eyes again and used this free limb to pull myself 'out' of my 'body'. Slowly but surely, I managed to pry myself out (now and then opening my eyes to see what was happening, and seeing my original self motionless in bed) until the point where I was able to just get out of bed and stand up in my room, with my actual body still in bed.

At this point, I was like and went to my window and looked out out of it. I can't remember what I saw but I said to myself ''Dude! I've actually done it! I'm out of my body!'' and turned back to my bed, getting on my knees to see what things felt like. I couldn't distinguish any differences, so I got up and walked to the door (it was wide open for some reason), and briefly tried masturbating. Immediately upon doing so, I noticed it felt completely different, and my body both looked and felt warped. Then I noticed something horrifying; my 'private area' had something wedged into the japs eye. I pulled down the foreskin and there were nails and other metal objects stuck in everywhere. This seriously alarmed me, and I proceeded to remove it all without consideration of whether it would hurt or not. It didn't hurt, but it didn't feel comfortable either.

Then the second horror arose. I heard something coming up the stairs, snarling viciously (I think). I could feel its presence, and it sent me into a deep state of fear, as it felt both hellish and demonic; everything about it negative. I was terrified and felt trapped, as my room was a dead end. I wanted to get out of the place I was in IMMEDIATELY, and back into my body so I did the 'will myself back' thing. To begin with, nothing happened, and my state of fear grew worse as I thought this thing would get to me. I then closed my eyes and put everything I had into going back, into feeling back in my bed again. I then felt like I was being drawn back to my body and tried to intensify the feeling of being in bed. Then I 'woke up'.

Now, the strange thing is that the feeling of the world I was in.. I've felt it before. Likewise, it was a bad experience, and I didn't know whether I was dreaming or beyond that. One of my childhood nightmares used to be something menacing coming up the stairs, too. However, I distinctly came out of the body I was in, so even if it was a dream to begin with, surely I converted it into something else?

I'm really confused about this. If it IS an OBE, why was it so bad?

EDIT: I forgot to add: When I said ''Dude! I've actually done it! I'm out of my body!'' my voice was also messed up. It kind of scared me, but I figured since I was in a different reality it was natural.

Read my Dream Journal for a short guide of how to deal with fear when it comes to astral travel/ OBE.

Robert Monroe have experienced and actively induced OBE's for 20+ years and he is dead now, don't worry it's not because of an OBE experience but because of age.

He said two important points that he have proved that should eliminate the fear of going out of body, he have actively done this for so long so he have proved that "you can do this and you can still stay physically alive and the second is that you can still stay reasonly sane".

Every fear you encounter out of body is your own creation, for example those hands that grabbed you might be your fear of physical separation.
The fear of the unknown alone can create the most Indescribable things.

So embrace your fears, kiss the scary spider in your OBE, hug the Slenderman, even welcome the devil himself, because they do not exist and you are awareness in that experience. I will now explain why that is relevant.

You can only observe and you cannot touch, if you are out in the real time zone (It basically means to be like a ghost in the physical world) the body you experience yourself having is also just a creation of yourself, in fact with more and more OBE experience you might get bored of that and want to look like a bear or a tiger, lol even a dragon what ever you want!

But my point is you are only awareness, if you can touch or feel with the body in the real time zone it's not an OBE, but the awareness is still in the emotions, memories and subconscious of what makes your personaolity. In other words you are still in a dream.

This is according to Robert Monroe, I will find out myself by own experience soon enough
