I'm not a doctor, just trying to help. And what I'm saying may not help at all, but the myalin is kind of like your skin. It is constantly regrowing, to replace an old layer that has worn off. It's made up of about 80% fat and 20% protein. Why so much fat? Because its made to be burned, fat is a combustable. The more sensitive a person is to shifts, energy change, electrical changes, the more myalin they produce (because it gets burned off so fast). There was a time between 1996-2002 that I ignored it, and the problem with electricity got so bad by 2000 we were buying light bulbs every week. I fried the ultrasound machine at a prenatal visit, I knew I needed help. I ended up going to the doctor and was tested for MS - there's no MS in my family history, and the doctor decided thats not what it was. He never could give me any diagnosis. But the problem was medically documented at least. I had an EEG during a sleep study, and it showed sporatic activity in dormant parts of the brain at the same times that I was having sleep paralysis. I started paying attention to my body after that, and did research on my own for foods that helped balance out the brain.
For you, I don't think eating omega-3 fatty acids would hurt. Vitamin B helps us break down and absorb whatever we eat. You don't have to buy vitamins to get these, they are in things like seafood, fruit, milk, yogurt, fiber foods, you mentioned nuts - flax seed too.
