Recently I came up with a way I think would increase the odds that you and a friend can meet up in a dream. However, both you AND your friend should be lucid dreamers in order to do this.

1. Find a time, preferably in the morning, where you and your friend will set an alarm in the morning.

2. Once the alarm goes off, both of you should perform the DEILD method. Because of this, the alarm you guys set in the morning should turn off by itself. If you both have smartphones, you can use calendar reminders on your iphone or android device.

3. Once in the dream, both of you should travel/teleport to a common landmark and expect each other to be there.


Using the DEILD method would be most effective in my opinion because the transition from the real to dream world is almost always between 5-10 seconds...contributing to the synchronization of you and your friend's sleep activity, which is the aim of this method. Also, the morning is the ideal time to perform this because that is the time where most REM sleep/dreaming time occurs. Keep in mind that the point of this method is to induce near exact synchronization between 2 people, which most believe is essential in order to shared dream.

Why I think this technique would show positive results if shared dreaming were to be true is because you and your friend are literally showing up in the exact same location at the nearly exact point in time. Also keep in mind this technique is NOT tested yet. Unfortunately, i don't know anybody who is an avid lucid dreamer, so if you want to try this method with a friend please tell me and post your results in the comments below. Thanks!
