      Questions?

Hi, I'm new to the forums but I just have a few questions I've been wanting to ask since my last episode
I gointo SP once in a while; The first time scared the hell out of me cuz It was about a demon choking me, sucking the life outta me; But anyways the last time I got scared I scoured the internet for a solution or Answers and I came across the subject of OBE's & Lucid Dreams... It was really interesting to hear about the subconscious control you can have over your n mind and to.hear about othr people's experiences. It's fascinating stuff and itere

I read online about the things possible during SP and how If I wake up in SP to not be afraid and if I did happen to be afraid to imagine.a bright white light surrounding my body, keep calm and wait for the vibrations to kick in and after the vibrations, Then I cold attempt an exit technique..

Well I went into SP, Imagined the bright white light, for protection, and waited for the vibrations to start, which they did and when they ended, I attempted the "Climb the Rope" exit technique. This was the first time I actually pushed myself to try this and I. actually started feeling myself climb out of my body..When doing so I heard this inner voice that I've never heard before tell me "You can do it You can do it" and it kinda freaked me out... I got halfway out and msome part of my body was stuck, and then I woke up...
      Now my questions are:

      1. What was that voice?
      2. How do I fully exit my body?
      3. In my first SP mode, I had a "Dream" that I was being strangled and the Demon or Devil was sucking the life out of me, I said the Our Father multiple times, as it scared the life out of me, and nothing seemed to work. It finally ended and my question is, Is there any significance with that dream I had?
      4. That's all for now. Please get.back to me asap...

Assuming the voice was involuntary, it was clearly just a hallucination. Hallucinations and sleep paralysis frequently co-exist, creating the most terrifying sleep phenomenon. To exit my body, I simply focus on imagining a separate 'dream body', and rolling off my bed into the dream body. This works almost flawlessly.

The universal experience you described is called "The Old Hag", which almost every lucid dreamer experiences at some point.

SP experiences are not related to lucid dreaming in any way, it's a medical condition that only small amount of people experience regularly.

If you don't normally have negative astral projection experiences, why go out of your way to cultivate them? Most things that are painful are actually harmful: that's what pain is there to tell you. Similarly, very many things that seem scary are actually dangerous. Do you know what you're trying to accomplish and does it make sense?

I guess you read online or in a book that if you can get through the fear and the unpleasantness, then healthy enjoyment and accomplishment await you. But not everything you read is true.

Any time the effects of an activity are not well understood, people's views will range from assuming the effects are likely bad, to assuming that any perceived ill effects are purely imagined. Most things that people consider bad for physical or mental health now were more widely practiced at other times, and vice versa.

Nobody fully understands what astral projection is. The view that "its perfectly safe because its all in your head" can be debunked, though not easily. The view "its perfectly safe because mystics have been practicing it for thousands of years" is even more easily debunked.

I'm not suggesting that people shouldn't experiment with astral projection, or claiming that its bad for you. For myself, the answer to that question seems to be fairly ambiguous. I'm just saying don't believe the knuckleheads who claim to be astral projection experts but who don't actually understand what they're doing. If you like what's happening, then pursue it, but if you don't like it, maybe you're not wrong.
