Forced OBE's and very strange sensations....please read

On some nights when I am really tired and I go to bed I have the most strange and sometimes terrifying experiences. Sometimes I first have a short dreams that are broken through repetition of waking and falling asleep and before or sometimes the sensations come on instantly. The sensations feels like my body is vibrating with electricity and there is a strong rushing sensation. Everything else somewhat fades and I get sometimes a rushing sensation in my ear drum as well. After this the rushing sensation and the electrical type vibrations force myself outside of my body - but it is never really peaceful OBE it is kind of a struggle like tug of war. Sometimes I get forced out of my body and start flying up then end up back in my body being forced out again and etc. Usually by the time I leave my body and float up I get too scared and wake myself up. Other times I leave body and go directly into the dream I was just dreaming. But the last time I had it it was the most terrifying...usually when it happens it will happen 2-3 times in a row before I am able to fall asleep normally, so it already happen to me once and I was preparing myself for it to happen again. I was telling myself to stay positive and focused and once I left my body to tell myself to make everything vivid and higher clarity and I was hoping on entering a lucid dream or just exploring an OBE. I closed my eyes and immediately started to fell the sensations start to slowly grow. The way the sensations work is you can feel them before they hit you, but once they hit you are engulfed and there is no turning back because the more you fight them the stronger they get. So the sensations hit me and I prepared myself and envisioned myself leaving my body and soon I was flying above my bed. Now that I knew I was outside of my body I told myself to clarify and to make everything vivid. Right after I told myself that I snapped back into the electrical vibration state with myself laying in my bed but this time it was 10 times stronger. I wasn't expecting this so I started to panic a little and I tried to free myself from the vibrations I ended up flying out again and I was flying a little bit until I got snapped back into my the vibration state again. This time I couldn't leave...I was stuck. I wanted to wake up but the more I resisted the harder it got - it felt like i was being sucked in from both ways like tug of war. The harder it got the more I started to panic and somehow I envisioned a hand coming from my bed trying to grab and next thing I knew I saw it and then I started taking deep breaths and woke up in the bed somewhat terrified.

I want to not what it is I am experiencing and how I can turn this into a positive experience. It might happen again tonight so if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it.

My sister has exactly this kind of problem. Unfortunately I don't know what to say, because I don't have this kind of problem. If anyone who had this problem has solved it, please let us know how. We know that getting enough sleep and not being too stressed out during the day helps a lot, but I guess you already knew that. Maybe that's not a bad answer though.

Taking a guess....You have a dark, vampiristic side of your being, which is the same for my sister, and the same for me. That's the same for everyone I guess, people just have different ways of disguising it. If you're not comfortable with that side of yourself, and try to wall it off, that creates a kind of pressure, like water behind a dam. Maybe if you were more open and communicative within your own mind and emotions, that would relax that issue? I'm not suggesting you act on your mean impulses, but if you dialogue with them a little bit, and accept who you are more, maybe that will help? I'm just speculating. One difference between me and my sister is I've had more time to do that sort of thing. Another difference is her outward conditions in life are more stressful than mine, which is part of why she hasn't had the time for the introspection.

That is an interesting take on it...I never looked at it that way. It could be a psychological element to it, I'll have to think more about it. It's good to know someone else experiences it too. By the way I don't know what the frequency of it happened is with you sister but it has only happened to me half a dozen times in the last year, but then again it only began in the last year. Thanks for the feedback.
