Why does SP cause unwanted sensations and how can I avoid these sensations?

When I was in SP, I felt as if I was being tickled. It was painful to some extent and I had to stop the SP. I was happy that I was able to successfully achieve SP but I do not know how to avoid these sensations. I tried to imagine myself within the dream so that I could quickly go from SP to LD but I kept feeling this. Any help please?

Hey, BeeClock! I'm not really sure if it's possible to completely avoid them, but this thread that Puffin made is really good and I think it might help you a bit... good luck!

There's no definitive way to change the sensations. You'll feel them every time you transition, but there is good news. When I first transitioned, I felt like my body was going to vibrate apart and I heard a terrifying noise like I was about to be run over by a train. A transition like that made me never want to WILD again, but after about a week, I tried again. I've had plenty of WILDs since then and have never heard the sound again. Each transition has vibrations, but sometimes I see lights or hear faint noises. All I'm saying is that my transitions vary, and you might not always feel the tickling.
If you find you still do, you'll have to decide if having lucid dreams is worth the sensations.
We were always dreaming of how it was going to be.

I totally think it is worth it, and I am aware that the sensations can very each time. Sometimes I do not feel the tickling sensations. I was just wondering if there is a way to reduce any unpleasant sensation without having to take myself out of SP.
Thank you all for your answers

Um, SP causes unwanted sensations? I have found that controlling SP is just like controlling a dream, so never get something I don't want when in SP, its pretty fun actually, ever tried controlling it?

I tried to control it, but I was unsuccessful. So if it is possible, I will try to control it the next time.
