Thread: Is this possible?

I'm not really a fan of OBEs and astal proyection because I think they're just mere LDs and not anything supernatural or whatsoever. Anyways, I don't think you can really tell the difference as LDs can be so vivid and can "simulate" whatever is supposed to happen.

LD's also seemed supernatural .... I believe OBE is possible and I heard from a person who had it

I believe it is the same thing, OBE is part of lucid dreaming. Just appear in your bed or appear in your room and find your sleeping body, or do not find it. Many ways actually.

Though, an OBE experience can be perfectly clasified as a LD or a dream, the only diference is the transition, It's just like a WILD. I personally have had a few OBEs where I "separated" from my heavy physical body in order to enter the dream. Anyways don't take me too seriously when talking about OBEs, I'm not really into the subject. Also, I'm ok with OBEs, what I can't stand are astral proyections and demons taking your body and sh*t.

I'd agree that it's likely that OBE's and AP don't exist. There's no particular reason to assume without hard evidence that you are visiting an alternate realm, it's much simpler to believe that you are in a lucid dream.
The only real way to know is to experiment with it yourself. Nothing solid ever emerged from experience.

If they are the same thing then why do some people report seeing things while out of body that actually occurred in reality (things that they would have no knowledge of if they had not been out of body). It seems that if it was a lucid dream whatever they saw in the "physical world" would just be a rendering of the mind and not factual or accurate information.

Anyone can make up a story and tell they saw something that happened in their OBE or something. I'm with dutchraptor, the only way to know if this stuff is real is doing it yourself.

Yes you can project from the dream just have the intention to separate with in the dream and 9 times out if ten you'll wake up in your bed to vibrations and at that point you can get up and explore the dreamscape that is a exact copy of your room. I do think lucid dreaming is a type of astral projection but I also think Obe's fall under a real time zone projection where you explore a dreamscape very close to physical reality minus the laws of physics.

Thank you for your reply to my original question I'm sure it will prove to be very helpful. As to whether you can actually go out of body or astral project i will find out soon enough through my own testing, but thank you all for replying to this thread.
