      Extremely strange sleep experience

Honestly this does not sound like some sort of Lucid Dream or anything so that is why I am posting this here. Trying to post asap so I dont possibly forget a single detail of the most horrific thing to happen to me.

I joined this site about 3 years ago or something along those lines, maybe 4 years. I have been able to induce lucid dreams before, and of course know what sleep paralysis feels like, but all of this was completely different. I no longer try to lucid dream or anything like that.

About 10 minutes ago I was having what I THINK was a dream, there are no visual imagery though, it was all audio, and I just knew certain things. I know this will sound very very very very strange and most of this is just imagination that created some of it. I heard my self traveling with a group of people with rifles to shoot at this small boat that was off the shore of this small town. This boat was NOT filled with humans though, I mean they looked similar to humans, but they definitely were not. I just knew they weren't. Well I heard us finally get there and everybody was shooting and suddenly when the firing stopped I heard us all cheering like we won.

I was walking with who I heard was the first person to witness the boat and probably someone with high authority in the town, and I was personally speaking to them... Like not my dream, its like I was in a lucid dream sort of, but almost as if I had 100% control over the dream or something, but only for moving and speaking, because I still cannot see a thing during this dream, all black.

I spoke to this man asking him questions about what they found on the boat and he said that they found "225 rounds made up of 5 round detachable box magazines of (this is an obviously made up part) 1.23 x 31mm rounds"

SO we started walking away from the scene and I still cant see anything but I feel myself submerge into water and I am personally swimming in water, it's not part of a dream or anything, it feels 100% real. and all I can hear for about 10 minutes is just me swimming, and I feel someone holding onto the back of my shirt like as if they sucked at swimming and needed to hold onto me to prevent them from sinking. I was just endlessly swimming, no talking, just wading of the water. So I was thinking in my head, "Why the fuck am I swimming so far, fuck this..." and I just stopped trying to swim, then I really felt my whole body sink into water, and I felt myself sinking down what felt like 15 feet of water while holding a weight or something.

When I sunk I stopped breathing and was holding my breath, suddenly though I head someone in my head, a young female, say the words (Completely vivid by the way as if they were next to me while i was sleeping and whispered it to me) "Why did we try doing this to him while he was sleeping, when we can easily do it while he's awake?"

Then after hearing this so close to me, I opened my eyes, and I saw in the corner of my room a shadowy figure slowly moving across my plane of vision, but I couldn't do anything, this wasn't like sleep paralysis at all, but I couldn't move anypart of my body except shake back and forth in bed, and my throat completely closed up and so did my nostrils. I didn't feel myself in water anymore, nor even sleeping, I was wide awake freaking the fuck out shaking back and forth in bed, and making those loud noises you would make if someone was holding your nostrils and mouth closed and had their hand around your neck while you were screaming.

My roommate is not here either, but if he was he definitely would've woken up from me screaming, and this would've been a little less freaky for me. Once again this was NOT sleep paralysis and it felt NOTHING like a lucid dream. I had 100% control over every little thing.

As for that shadowy figure I saw while I was "drowning in my bed" I just saw what looked to be a grin, and red eyes, and it just slowly moved out of sight and when it left my line of sight, that's when I stopped "drowning" and was able to move.

I know this REALLY REALLY sounds like sleep paralysis, but I've experienced it before and it felt nothing like this, to me sleep paralysis felt like a blanket of lead was on top of me to prevent me from moving, but this was like, I was able to move, just not how I wanted to... I just shook back and forth in bed.

I don't know, that's weird. No visuals? It it said that a blind person has dreams, but not in a visual way. They can still "see" things though. I have as much trouble imagining how a blind person dreams as i have trouble understanding what you experienced. Maybe they are akin ?
Non-lucid dreams have weird qualities for me. They are really hard to remember. If i can remember them at all. When i do, it is only part of it because half of it is simply impossible...

Anyway, what you experienced doesn't sound too bad? Or did you say you were blocked form breathing? As if you where really drowning? That does sound really awfull. But i would not be too alarmed if i experienced what you did. It seems like you panicked. Which is not suprising, i know how invasive these things can feel. But I think that is what gives you the bad associations. Next time try to remember, nothing can kill you. And just escape the experience like you did (cus you are obviously still alive). But stay calm.

What do you belief about your dream? I know a religious lucid dreamer who would say something to the extent of demons. But as far as i know, you are in control of your body. Nothing can hurt you without your permission.

I don't believe anything about that dream, it just felt so real and hasn't left my memory even a little bit - as if I had actually experienced it, and yes I wokeup, but I was drowning in my own bed basically.

Since I decided to post this, I was looking around and some of the astral projection stuff and I decided to try it since it seemed similar to lucid dreaming in a sense. At first I tried once entering sleep paralysis a bit to do the "climbing the rope" thing, which I didn't quite understand, but I ended up just lifting my dead asleep arms up and so was quite a fail.

but then I somehow got it to work, and to what I can remember I was just thinking of completely random things during what felt like the begginning of sleep paralysis. I personally play a game called World of Warcraft so this may sound weird if you do not know of it. Well, suddenly I imagined a little black Whelp (a small dragon) and I was seeing through first person perspective, and this whelp was speaking to me without saying anything, I just knew what it was saying... and it was telling me to press 2 on my keyboard to cast a spell, and it starting creating other whelps for me to "attack with the 2 key". and so I imagined myself pressing 2 repeatedly and when all the whelps except for the one that was speaking to me had vanished from my "attacks" he told me, "Now you are finally here" and I saw, literally a chat bubble appear above it that said, "try /say /yeah /okay" and i completely disregarded that and turned around, and realized I was standing in front of my sink in my room (the sink is right across from my bed, I live in military barracks) and that's kinda when I realized that I must've been Astral Traveling. I do not know what most people see usually, but I saw perfectly fine, but I felt my eyes were asleep. I walked forward because there was this small like bubble in the air, with a little tiny octopus inside of it. I got close enough for my face to just barely touch it, then I felt like an earthquake was occurring because I was standing still just gazing at the octopus. I remembered what I read online and I looked down at my hands and rubbed them together and it seemed the shaking stopped, but as soon as I stopped rubbing my hands together the shaking came back and I literally felt my body being ripped out of my room, then suddenly I was just back in my bed with my eyes closed.

It was a strange experience, and I believe it was Astral Projection or whatever it's called. I loved it, it felt amazing for the small amount of time I had experienced it. I just wish I would've looked over to my bed to see if I could see myself sleeping.

I'm hoping to try this again tonight, first with the climbing the rope technique then if that doesn't work, I am going to imagine that whelp once more. Maybe it's my own personal way of projecting myself? I'm not sure!
