It's also is unlike other dreams where you have no control. Usually in dreams you have no control of you are either in someone else's dream or someone stronger than you has entered your dream. In your magicant you are in your own dream controlled by your subconscious.
If you don't know what the hell you're doing you could potentially end up becoming delusional. If you understand what it means to truly lucid dream you could gain insight to not only yourself, but the world around you.
An example would be insight to the true nature of sleep paralysis and the dark hooded figures.
I think you read too many stories about lucid dreams, you should rather rely on your own experience. I want to know the reason why you call it 'magicant'?
Such experience does exist in some extent, like a mind-mirror, instead of seeing yourself in the mirror, you can experience your subconscious personality.
Don't like that term 'dream guide', but some people would think of this as a dream communication with their 'dream guide'.
