Well, I was a young adult living through the Sixties.

What can a poor boy do?

I think it was Edmund Burke who said that in the instance of every Great Man, his virtues were his own, but his vices were vices of his Time.

And so it is that all of my virtues are entirely to my own credit, but if I have ever done anything wrong... well, I blame everyone else for that.

Hmmmmm. It sounded so much better the way Edmund Burke said it, huh?
