Thread: Outer body experience

Its been a long time since I've had a lucid dream, but only 3 nights ago I had an interesting one. Basically I felt like I was awake in the real world but I knew I wasn't. I was lying in my bed awake (in the dream) and I was looking out a door to the outside of my house. I said to myself "I want to go out there" and all the time knowing this was a dream but a very lucid one. So as I was looking to the doorway I said to myself " ok I'm going to get up now" and as I put my hand on the bed to lift myself up I felt a kind of warm sensation, I could actually feel like I was leaving my body, it felt like a weight had just left my body. It was a really strange but exciting feeling. I wondered is this what it feels like when the soul leaves the body?? I suppose I'll have to wait and see. The dream continued on as a normal lucid dream does with me doing the usual walking around and chating to people and trying to fly but I just had to post this new experience here today about the feeling of leaving the body and feeling the weight leave my body as it happened. I am wondering can any one share a similar experience.
