      Exclamation I can't stand astral rojection

      I've have a few OBE's but they weren't that convincing, and I don't remember them well, my main point Is that I just can't seem to grasp Astral projection. I want to prove that it is real but I just can't do it

      I;ve been trying for months now.

      has anyone here actually done it, and how long did it take you to learn.

      Srry if I'm a little demanding I'm just frustrated.

      If astral projection is real then it should be closely related to dreams. I say train lucid dreaming, you win either way.

      Scatterbrain is right. Your astral form is exactly the same as your dream form. they are in fact the same concept. If you train how to do a WILD, you will get closer to having an OBE. They are very closely related. I have had many OBEs of varying types.

      That makes sense I only just day dream my way into a dream I don't use WILD. But I try to do that.

      Astral Projection is definetally harder than lucid dreaming. It takes way longer than a couple of months to do it perfectly. I've only had one OBE, but it was fully consious, and way too convincing. I suggest trying to do it in the mourning after you've been awake for about an hour. That prevents you from falling asleep so easily =/.

      Keep trying, it is WELL worth the effort.

      Once you've mastered OBE's and astral projection, the possibilities are truely limitless. They are not like dreams, they are related, but trust me, they are not lucid dreams. I know you can't know that right now, but once you've had a fully consciounce OBE, you'll see the difference. Stick with it, it takes quite a bit of practice, but it is worth it. I suggest the book 'Mastering Astral Projection in 90 days', by Robert Bruce. Once you learn how to astral project, lucid dreaming will be as easy as pie.

      That's not true. For some people it takes years, others it takes days. I will agree that it is quite a lot more difficult than lucid dreaming. Except it's backwards for me. But I guess that could be just because I started working on astral stuff ages ago and just started LD related stuff.

      It certainly is a much different experience from lucid dreaming though. you'll see.

      What's so great about AP anyway? besides the being in another plain if you actually are or just dreaming.

      I understand where your coming from it bothers me alot to know reather something is real or not too, but the best I can do is try it out for awhile in your case it's AP and in my case it's instant wild mine might be easier to prove but still keep it up AP would be much more wortwhile to prove, I know it sucks when you don't know if it's real because you don't have near as much motivation.

      That's often a matter of open-mindedness. There is currently no sure way to scientifically prove that it exists. The only moderate form of prove that exists is etheric/RTZ validation. The reason it's not reliable is because it's very difficult to do, unless you're a serious pro.

      good, point how long did it take you guys to learn how to astral project.

      oh yeah I figured I should foucus on wild more, that way when the vibrations come I can project.

      It took me AGES. I thought I'd never get it. Then one day...poof! I just popped right out of my body on one of my attempts. Yes, the vibrations is the peak time to will yourself out, but you won't always feel vibrations. As a matter of fact...I never feel them anymore, and I use to get them all the time.

      It's like how Clairity described her WILD technique...she just sort of feels a shift in her consciousness and knows when to move. It's the same idea here. Except don't try to move. Soemtimes that works, but when you're bilocating, trying to move your astral body will often trigger movement in your physical body, thus brining you out of the experience. It's hard to explain how to do it really...

      Speaking of which I am currently in the middle of an experiment involving such things. I also have some interesting data from a RTZ experiment I did two years ago. You can find info of both here in my journal. The overall odds of my first experiment what that there was 4% chance that my results were simply coincidental. And here is an excerpt of an independent party who had examined my results:

      Values of the cards (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A)

      You got 3 hits out of 10 trails = 30% hits
      Simply guessing should lead to 1 out 13 = 7.7% hits
      First thought, not bad!

      Symbols (hearts, spades…)
      You got 2 out of 6 (4 times you did only guess the color) =33% hits
      Simply guessing should lead to 1 out of 4 = 25% hits
      First thought, not significant, but at least above 25%

      Colors
      You got 7 out of 10 = 70 % hits
      Simply guessing should lead to 1 out of 2 = 50% hits
      First thought, not significant, but at least above 50%

      All probabilities are above the guessing values but only the first (values) seems significantly above the expected number, therefore I’ll look at this a bit more closely.
      Value of the cards, how good is your result really? We can say something about this, if we look at the chance to guess your result by chance. On average, how many times will a computer score 3 or more hits if he tries to guess the values of 10 playing cards?
      This is calculated as follows:
      Probability to guess 0 out of 10 is (12/13)^10 = 45%
      Probability to guess 1 out of 10 is (12/13)^9*(1/13)*10 = 37% (one needs to multiple by 10 because there are 10 different ways to score 1 hit and 9 misses out of 10 trails!)
      Probability to guess 2 out of 10 is (12/13)^8*(1/13)^2 *45 = 14% (one needs to multiple by 45 because there are 45 different ways to score 2 hits and 8 misses out of 10 trails!)
      This adds up to about 96% which means 96% of the time a computer would score 2 or less hits if he performs 10 trails, which means if one is guessing one will only score 3 or more hits in 4 % of the attempts, which means it is pretty likely you did not just guess the cards but perceive some info about the real cards while out of body.
      The chance you did not leave you body is below 4%! That’s it! That’s the result! It’s a success, I would say!
      But, 10 trails are way too few to say much anyway!

      I've always had the Notion that OOBEs are WILDs that have been differently interpretted. Dreams can mimick the Waking world with rediculous convoction and credibility. And dreams are clearly not in the Material world and in a way Out of the Body. It seems to me that Dreams are "our spirits traveling to the world of spirits" and OOBEs being our spirits traveling oout of our bodies into the Physical, Material world; the same our body is in. This is off course all Methaphorical and therefor a bold Lie, but it was the best I could do to explain it. Thusfar I've always thought that OOBEs were no different from Lucid dreams accept the interpretation that one is outside the body and still in the physical world while in fact it is a very realistic dream of the physical enviroment one went asleep/practiced the OBEE in.

      If anyone here thinks OOBEs and WILDs are not actually the same experience; namely a Dream, then can someone please tell me how OOBE is practiced or link me to an OOBE tutorial.
