Flaunting science around like it proves everything. But science doesn't know everything! Besides, science is subjective. We all perceive reality in different ways. Thought is chaos. Chaos is order. And quantum physics has really proved this even more. No one truly understands what energy really is. How can you limit infinity? Discuss. |

Um...give scientists time? |
Well that's all fine and good except for the fact that there is no absolute truth. |
Your beliefs define your reality, but they have no effect on the greater reality unless you can show some evidence of your beliefs working. What good is it to say you think this thing is possible if you can't tangibly show it to be possible to anyone else? |
Did you even watch the Matrix? All your questions are answered there. |
It doesn't prove everything, nor does it claim to. We will never know everything, but at least science is a start, instead of flailing around blindly. It's useless to speculate about things we cannot observe, so we should at least try to explain what we can. And what do you mean exactly when you say science is subjective? I understand what you mean in general about different perspectives and stuff, but still. |

Thank you Xei, you did what I wanted to do but didn't have the time. You took each statement of crazyness and kicked it in the shins. |
Once you stop limiting yourselves with "logic" and open your minds to what's truly true, maybe we can carry on a discussion. |
That's true, except not to me. For me, there is absolute truth, even for everybody else. That is not the case with everybody else, but it is the case with everybody else for some people. To some people, none of this is true. It is all subjective, though for me it is not all subjective, but for some people it is all subjective for me, for whom it is all objective. This point is subjective, for some people, but for me it is false. |
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
You mean like Dream Theater, Systematic Chaos? O never mind theyre probably talking about their time signatures. |

Finally, someone gets my point. |

"Any science that scientists do not understand." |

OK thanks for the links. I'll look through the wiki one a little later or maybe just ask my brother about how these things are related because hes real big into quantum physics (double majoring in physics and astronomy). Also I love psi balls. I don't know if I've actually made one but I get that repelling magnets type feel when I try it in bed at night. I've heard that could be biofeedback though. Maybe "The Road to Reality" talks about this stuff. My brothers read it for like an hour a night for a year and made it like halfway through (biggest most complex book ever!)(maybe I exagerrated the time frame a little). Anyway anyone else who has links please post them. |
The problem with your argument is that science is science because it can be proved. As far as I know, nobody has ever proved OOTs and so on. |
I don't usually bother with trying to prove that psionics exists, but for those who want to see it here's the geiger counter expiriment. |

Lucid Tasks Completed: 1
Read it, and it's interesting, though so far it's anything but a careful study. |

No I understood your point, its just that the arguement you make is a foolish one that can be proved wrong time and time again. Just because you say that everything is subjective DOES NOT mean that it is. Of course people percieve things differently, and what some people believe is different than others. Does that mean that all of them are right? Someone can believe up is down or down is up, it doesn't mean its true.(up being the opposite direction of gravity, and down being the direction gravity pulls, just so you don't make some other retarded statement.) |
