Thread: How do you visualize the year, week and seasons?

This question was inspired by the "dream geography" thread.

I always took for granted the way I visualize the year and week cycle in my head. Everyone's imagination works differently, but I'd be curious to know if there are any things people imagine the same.

For example, in my mind's eye I see a year as a circle, with summer at the top, winter at the bottom, spring on the right side and fall on the left. That's just how I've pictured it for as long as I remember.

The circle has certain markers--significant points positioned along the way like holidays or my birthday.

I also noticed that if there's someone I talk to on the phone a lot but never see their face (like a client or contact you have to call at your job all the time) my imagination assigns a face to them.

But the funny thing is, I don't make up a face--I give them the face of someone else who already exists! And usually that's the face of someone I see a lot but don't talk to--like people whose faces you notice a lot because they work or go to school in the same area as you. And the face just sticks with the voice after that.

I don't think people often think about HOW they visualize things. I'd love to hear how others internalize the things and ideas that surround them.
