Has anyone ever had an OBE, or done Astral Projection?

I've heard and learned a lot about this subject and i wanted to know some of peoples actual experiences, or thoughts on it, and if they did AP where did they go

Astral projection is just a lucid dream where you're deluding yourself that you're astral projecting because you think its so exciting and cool and you really really wanna believe it so to you its so real but you forget the fact that you used the exact same method to 'astral project/OBE' as you would induce a LD (yes there's minor differences but at the base it is WILD) but you expect it to be an OBE, and as we all know if you expect something to happen in an LD, it will... dont think about scary monsters becasue they WILL show up in your LD if you think about them, and dont think about the whole silver cord thing that you read on a website because you WILL see it ... just like the monsters because you expect to see it.

Well, yes. In my opinon Astral Projection is basically everything CT's said - an lucid dream/part delusion/part mistake. There's a bunch of websites that claim with passion the exsistence of this, and no proof to back it up with except perhaps some "experiences" or "scientists" saying it's real. Be careful with this, and at the very least don't start believing it to be true yet. Take your time with it - letting some website or guy say it's real isn't good enough.

      I hear you, but...

But, there have been so many cases of ppl AP'ing and witnessing real time events that actually took place. And what would happen if this was proven to you?

Okay. To start off, I'm going to need to see these numerous cases for them to influence my opinon, for better or worse, and so I can comment on them.

Are those cases well documented, did they follow clear procedures so you can outrule everything else, the only conclusion possible beeing that it has to be AP?
Or are they stories you heard from people, 'testimonies' on websites, etc? These hold no value at all if you're gonna use it in an argument... People believe in weird stupid shit you know, from 'evil spirits' to 'earth creatures' and all that.

      ...

Astral Projection is far more easier to do then induce a lucid dream. And its also has a realistic quality to it. Lucid dreams are empty. Astral Plane is full of life. And WILDs usually can't be done before bed, but astral projection usually always is done at this time. Enough said.

what do you think? -_- astral projection is also linked to energy which everything is but you must give up a bit of yours to do this... which makes people frustrated during the practices of psionics... BEACUASE THEY HAVE NO PROOF OR SEEN IT! unless you try it urself like i did and wht i think to have happend but im still a BIG SKEPTIC!

Well, Excuse me! I happen to be thanatophobic, so that's why I don't bother to do it!! I would much rather stay in my dreams, or have a sci-fi (an FA & Realistic WILD seen in my DJ).

Yeah! That's happened to me b4. One time, I was struggling to keep awake in class, when I suddenly started having a weird dream that I flew out of the school (okay, & during a sci-fi, I will not respond to comments, at least not in real life). I talked w/Uncle Grant, & flew back to school & to my desk, b/c I thought I was sluffing!
Well, my class told me that I practically fainted during that time, & they could not wake me up. Yes & at 1st, I could have sworn that I was awake!!

I believe this occasion is perfect for reminding you that you are extremely, extremely annoying when you pull stuff out of your "scifi" and other experiences which have nothing to do with the topic.

How about NOT TALKING about your scifi's? Next time you are about to write something about your scifi - don't.

Well, Dr. Robert Monroe did experiments at the Monroe Institute which were rather interesting. He had people who claimed to be able to OBE and had a random 8-digit number in another room or in a part of the room impossible for the person to see. I believe it was over a thousand cases where the people came back with the correct 8-digit number or the 8-digit number in reverse. I'm still skeptical about the whole thing, but I figured I'd bring that study up.
On a side note: Nesgirl, don't mind Wicked. It's fine for you to bring up your experiences.

Well if you seriously want to find out about them (sci-fis), or post about them: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic....t=13063&start=0

Talking about your experiences is fine and dandy, as long as you don't fill EVERY SINGLE POST with them. That's just spamming. I have nothing against your experiences Nesgirl, but I think that if I start to talk about a single thing every time I post, people will soon get tired of it and find it boring.

To each their own, Wicked. I think that her experiences are rather interesting, and I didn't really notice her bringing them up too often.
