I used to find this forum enjoyable because of it's diversity, but these days you can't find a post in the Beyond Dreaming section where you haven't blasted, made fun of, or out right laughted someone out of their post. I've been patient with you, and I've blown you off, but when I see the effect you are having on some of the others, that's when I have to say something. It's not just you, I've seen others make fun of people and basically insinuate that because their spelling was bad, that their points were invalid. How would you like to be treated thus? Did no-one ever teach you manners? You should be ashamed of your behavior. If this section bothers you so much that you feel you need to be short and rude in response than why visit it?

Read my signature. Down there is a little link that says "Problem? PM". The idea of it was if you had a problem with me, e.g, behaviour, rudeness, blablabla, you clicked that and told me about it privately, instead of making everybody else needlessly upset. Then we get serious and discuss the problem properly. Slap bang in the middle of a topic called "Do you believe in mind powers?" is not the place to post your gripes about me. I'll try and contact you later so we can discuss this in a civil manner, instead of posting in sucession and greating big fat flame wars

Okay after a few days off of the forum I've had a chance to chill and think things through. First of all I shouldn't have singled out Kaniaz alone and I'm not particularly proud of the harshness of my post. I think I could've probably made the same point without having resorted to the same tactics that I am very much against. I also don't want to be the reason that this forum shut's down again by creating controversy. That truly was not my intention. So my sincerest apologies to those of you who I may have unneccessarily upset (including you Kaniaz)ds. I at least can accept and apologize for my shortcomings and have done so on more than one occasion.

The only reason I posted it in a "public" area so to speak, is because I thought there was more than just one person who needed to read it.

Now having said that, I do want to stress what I think is of utmost importance. What made me so angry was the horrid treatment many people in this discussion area have been receiving lately. For those of you who are not "believers" of many of the topics discussed here I would only ask that you take this into consideration. (And I know some of you already do.)

This forum is one of the few places alot of people actually feel free to discuss/share such things as psi abilities, astral projection, energy work, etc.... They don't dare talk about it at work, or around most of their friends, and usually their families don't understand. Old school Christians (not all of them) would label us blasphemers or witches. While the people of science or medicine, as just plain crazy. But here they can actually talk with others who have experienced and believe/practice the same things. It is an outlet of sorts. Now some of us, like myself, are not afraid of talking about it to anyone, but others here are. When their posts are attacked, or they are asked to explain themselves, (something which maybe they cannot yet explain) it makes them not want to be honest or share the truth. It then cuts off their much needed "support system".

I have also made friends with a few here who are struggling with depression. For them it is their interest in the possibility of "something more" that keeps them going and forging ahead in life, even though they don't feel like going on. So please don't take that away from them entirely.

Then there are still others who are made to feel like their opinions mean nothing simply because they can't spell. That's plain ridiculous as I've read many well written posts that don't make sense to me.

And maybe even sometimes the more "skeptical" or "science" oriented people feel that we don't take them seriously either.

I hope you can understand where I am coming from. I don't expect everyone to agree with everything all the time. There would be no diversity if we didn't all have different opinions and view things from different perspectives. But I think it's easy for all of us to forget sometimes that we are talking to actual human beings who do have thoughts, feelings, dreams, goals, and desires. And that some people are naturally more sensitive than others. That goes for both sides of an arguement. I think if all of us take just a little more time on each post (myself included), and really evaluate the way our words may be coming across to others, than we won't have anymore of this unpleasantness on either side. Please don't wait for someone to PM you saying that they have a problem with you. Because most of the people affected sure wouldn't confront you like that. Most in fact would rather avoid confrontation altogether. I know this because I correspond with many of the people who post here frequently.

I wasn't planning on returning to the forum for some time, but Kaniaz PMed me and reminded me that we did not want a war here. He is right about that. So I thought it best to come back and clarify my last "outburst" as he put it so as not to ruin the forum for everyone. I can only hope that this post will create a little more harmony around here.
