What are the limits to Lucid Dreaming?

I've been able to Lucid Dream since I was about 12. Over the years, I've dreamed about loads of things, but now I just have to know: What are the limits? Are there any limits?

My dreams vary in loads of different ways: Sometimes I'll have precognitive dreams, sometimes I'll have Sci-Fi type dreams, occasionally I'll have an OBE, and sometimes it's nightmares, but most of the time it's a Lucid Dream.

In my LD's, I have a "second life". I've had so much time to perfect them that I've actually created an entirely new universe within my dreams. My LD universe is relatively similar to the "real" universe: There are different galaxies, solar systems, stars, planets, and even different lifeforms or "aliens". In my LD universe I have friends, family and there are even strangers whom I know nothing about. In short, I have created an entirely new universe within my subconscious. If anybody else has experienced anything like this, PLEASE contact me A.S.A.P.
But now I want to know the limits of LD's. Just how far can I take them?

In Lucid Dreams, you're only limited by yourself. Nothing more, nothing less. If you think you can't do something, you can't, and vise-versa.

Dude, that is awesome. I would do almost anything for a dream life like that.

Your imagination is your only limit!
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

is there a limit to lucid dreaming? how many lucid dreamers can honestly say they have had a lucid dream that lasted for 'years'. Not just felt like years. But if they were to measure in real time all that they did in a dream, it would equal years. I think thats probably a 'real' limit.

maybe lucid dreams can last 'years', and have these years only be minutes in real time, as if you are existing in a whole different time frame, all together. I don't know! I hold all things are possible. but I've never met anyone who can make that claim.

other than that, I would say it's potentially unlimited! not that it is unlimited. . .

there are real limits that each of us project on ourselves, and that just comes with living human. we have two arms and two legs. we experience ourself as one consciousness in one body. its very difficult to fathom what more limbs feel like. or a different kind of vision, like 360 degree vision. or being in multiple places at once. I still hold our imagination can imagine anything possible, but you sorta have to...forget being human to do some of the more amazing things in a dream. if you think of you are something that stands upright with two arms and two legs, transforming is going to be that much harder

some people have said that when you lucid dream, you let a part of your ego die. which is why lucid dreaming feels so free. and here in the waking world, we have an identity. such as "I am an artist and my friends are so and so". In a lucid dream, we do let the ego die a little because we hang up parts of our identity and we can experience things differently!

so....I guess how unlimited your lucid dreaming is, is related to how much of your ego you are willing to let die.

with that said, I think your dreaming experience is very neat! my dreams rarely have continuity. and when it does, its just weird.

I have got to try that.

I will attempt to create a perfect dream universe that is just right for me, and I'll try to get my subconscious to remember all of the aspects of it so that I can "open" it at will.

If I succeed, it will be great.
