Thread: Third Eye open too much?

Lately i have been meditating for my third eye.Now i notice i can hear voices that i didnt usually hear and i am starting to see stuff.Like i was in my room and i see someone running into my backyard.When i go outside to check no 1 is there.Then when im in the bathroom i hear a voice that is deep and darkish.It says "cliff" and after that says "help" or something.I am scared to say that it started 2 days ago after i started to meditate.It was horrible in a way now i am scared to take a shower in my own house.

In any case, you need to make an appointment with your doctor and tell him about what you're experiencing.

And for the record, this has nothing whatsoever to do with hypnogogic hallucinations.

umh, the hearing voices stuff is normal when you have your third eye opened. Seeing stuff is also normal. Just a question... have you informed yourself before opening your third eye. When you open your third eye (spiritual eye) you usually start to see spirits, auras, hear things and all stuffs like that. It's like a portal to the paranormal. (btw, PM me if you want some more info on that.

Beyond the obvious response (pointing out that hallucinations are not normal), I should point out that he is complaining that these are causing him great distress and interfering with his daily functioning. This is not something to be simply dismissed.

If you check on the internet you'll see that the third eye is often connected with obsessions too. I explain myself: one who opens his third eye thinks only about that. every time something unusual happens the person thinks that it's paranormal or whatever. and you finish by becoming..."crazy" i cant really explain it. anyway, my point is, that ignoring it is the best way. if you go to a doctor or whatever it won't help you. I have opened my third eye too...and I had those weird experiences too.

And yeah, the third eye... or the 6th chakra is a portal to the paranormal...anything that has to do with spirits and all that.

I agree with Shark Rider, your experience is pretty normal normal for people opening up the Third Eye. Going to the doctor about it is most likely the worst possible thing you could do, all you will end up with is psychiatric medication and a large bill. You need to work out these problems for yourself, no medication can do it for you.

During your next meditation focus on closing your third eye, with enough practice you can learn to control these visions.

Just to be on the safe side, I would not meditate again until your doctor gives you the okay to do so. Again, I want to emphasize the importance of talking to your doctor about this.

I suggest Cwang, that you get in touch with a clairvoyant or medium in your local area. They may be able to help you in ways that doctors cant. After all that is what they must have experienced in their life, I'm not saying that they will have all the answers but I'm pretty positive that they can assist you through your new found abilities

I do hope you are allright, I have a very close friend who has grown up with such abilities, I have been there during things that occur like that. It is nothing to be afraid of, if you imagine a golden light surrounding you like an orb, it acts as a shield. So focus on that and that might help when your feeling vulnerable.

It's called schizophrenia.

I have my third eye opened and i know things about it. but i cant teach you really how to use it. there's nothing to learn. just let it be.
