      Can anyone do this

Like if you dream about someone you know, and the person you know that you dreamed about, can that have the same dream as you did? And know that you dreamed about him or her? I don't know if this is the right forum, but i guess this would be something like shared dreaming?

Yes. It's possible. I once had a Dream in which I was watching a close friend's dream. Actually, I was watching her having her dream. I had no idea what her dream actually was, but I could see her reacting to everything in her dream. She was unaware I was witnessing it, but when I called her the next day to ask her if she was ok, she said yes, but why did I ask? I told her that I Dreamed she'd been rather upset- quite angry actually - and wanted to make sure there wasn't anything going on with her. She said that she'd had a dream of an ex-teacher whom she felt had treated her very badly and that in the dream she had been very upset.

As I said, we are very close. We share a great deal of Medicine together, so it's not surprising that I would pick up on her broadcasted, heightened emotional state.

I'm very comfortable in believing that two people can connect in the Dreamtime in a very significant way.

One of my friends said that we have shared dreams, cause we seem to have the same dreams. I'm pretty sure he's lying though.

No...not "hippie", unless you consider Native Americans "hippie." I suppose that's not too far off since many of the "freaks" of the sixties identified heavily with Native American traditions.

"Medicine" is a word used in most North American Native traditions to encompass several concepts; Personal Power, Personal Energy, Personal Gifts as well as the power, spirituality and overall essence of all of that which is around us and of which we are a part.

To say that we share "Medicine" is to say that we are connected on a very deep, spiritual level.

And no, we've never had sex with one another. She's more like a sister to me than anything else.

Dreamtime, The Dreaming, Dreamplane, whatever...all of that is pureshitbologna. ()

      There is no 'dream plane.'

While I do believe in Shared Dreaming, I don't believe that it is facilitated by some amazing, New-Age(/Native American) other state/whatever of existence/thing.

It's just your brains connecting to each other through brainwaves in the physical world, not some supernatural, extraplanar experience that cannot be explained by anything that mankind already knows about.

      No offence.

(Seriously, don't take it the wrong way, just some healthy skepticism. )

None taken. You could claim that the colors don't exist either. It hardly matters to me what you take as Truth.

Sure. No worries. That's one of the great things about being Human. You get to decide for yourself what helps you. Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're not. Either way - lesson learned.... Hopefully.
