The only difference between your priest and you is that he's probably more indoctrinated and blinded by faith. It's not like priests have the unique power to know god's will.

Who knows, maybe after her death her message of "best of both worlds" - the importance of being an ordinary teenager and a secret teen pop star will live on.

Maybe a group of devotee's will come together and dedicate their lives to spreading her message. Maybe 300 years after her death they will decide that she wasnt just an ordinary teenanger and secret pop star but was also THE DAUGHTER OF GOD, statues will be built in honor of her earthy father - the saintly Billy Ray. Her male followers will adopt the holy mullet as the only divine hair style and her female preists will of course wear the sacred blond wig. All will wear the sign of the sacred microphone as a symbol of the death of musical integrity.

Once enough people have been converted to HannaMontanarism then her church will launch a grand crusade to eliminate all the heathen and heretical followers of other divine pop stars like the horrid Pinkarians. Millions will die - but HannaMontannarians will be OK with this because they know that Hanna's way is the only way to salvation and god - and that all the blood shed is by gods will, and that a holy jihad will assure their places in Disney (which is where they will go when they die if they have been very very good).

Her churches will be built all over - and her preists dressed in pink coats with lots of buttons and sequins and sparkly cowgirl boots will recite the holy lyrics to the faithful. They will interpret these lyrics for their flocks and warn them of the evils of anything and anyone they think Hanna would have found "uncool".

LMAO- hmmm these can get pretty insane after a few days. I could ask my pastor, but I believe that he is just a man and he can not know everything. I also see that alot of his "rules" are based on fear and not faith or truth. What he doesn't understand is emmediatly catogorized as sinful or agianst our religion. That just isn't true, if it were then we would all belong to the Flat Earth Society. I like him as a person and I feel a family feeling at our church and that is why I stay. I am afraid I will never be able to get the absolute "TRUTH" from one man or one woman. Even though I have chosen Christianity as my faith I am not blind to the fact that there are many things that I do not understand and never will and I will continue reaching out to my fellow friends with these sorts of questions. The quest for the truth may be found in many places, and spoken in many ways. How will I ever find out if I don't ask ? And if Hanna Montanna ever gets her own cult fallowing or church I am buying a rocket and leaving this planet.

Im a "naughty" thelemite - and xtianity doesnt sit well with us.

The teachings of jesus are actually cool - all the dude ever wanted was for everyone to be at peace with everyone else and to be nice to each other for a change. Its the "organisation", the "church", that decided to interpret, edit and editorialize his teachings that I hate. Anyone who thinks marketing, spin doctoring and bullshit are 20th century inventions is an idiot.

Listen - Budhism is by far and away the most peaceful of all the world religions. Unlike xtianity, Judeaism, Islam, its teachings have not been spread by the sword and the flame. It defies logic that anyone would find fault with this most peaceful of belief systems.

Studing yoga and meditation are healthy. The basic tenet of budhism is "life is sorrow". This means that the ego - your waking concious mind - is the product of your upbrining, culture, life experiences etc. Look around you - the 21st century is nuts. The media bombards you with images of how you are "supposed to be". The clothes you wear, the car you drive, the watch you wear, how glamorous your freinds are, where you eat, what you read, what you say, what you beleive - all these things are supposed to "define you". And if you are not the perfect size, pretty/handsome, rich, funny, clever, drive a BMW, wear a rolex, etc then you are a loser, and this is what makes people sad. The trick is to silence the "monkey mind" - the ego - and to flip off anyone and anything that tries to tell you what you are "supposed" to be. I think even your "jesus" had a thing or two to say on the importance of not taking the ego too seriously.

Any god that would condem you for seeking inner peace and enlightenment must be by definition a bad god.

Its good that you dont blindly take this simple mans word for everything - all I ask is that you follow your will. If something feels "wrong" then dont do it. Studying the Chakra's is about a million miles or more from evil - and anyone who says otherwise is a goats dick.

Good points. However don't forget, we could also deny the existence of air because we can't see it, can't hear it, can't even smell it. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though. Simply follow a group of hardcore
"air atheists" into an airtight room and see what happens. They were 110% confident that air does not exist, told YOU that it does not exist so you took their word for it and the next thing you know we're hearing about a mass suicide on CNN.

There's plenty of evidence (physical and archeological) to support your current Xtian belief if you CHOOSE to view it objectively. The fact that you're even involved with Xtianity (sp) should be a tip-off that some force is reaching out to you. If you choose to ignore that calling that force will allow you to do that. Hence the more you choose not to believe the less you WILL believe (according to the book, not me).

So yes it's not up to me or your priest or anybody else to tell you "here's what you should do". If you choose not to believe, that's your decision. Feel free to party hearty, do whatever your heart desires, define good and evil and live life like there's no tomorrow because you're accountable to no one. Conversely if you choose TO believe .. oops you're suddenly held accountable, Youch!
