The same way many people report being attacked by entities or "ghosts" in RL, I suppose. But it's much more common in dreams. Apparently, LDing and APing are closely linked somehow....

Edit: Or maybe it's the entities who are APing themselves to our world in the same way we do to theirs.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

I see, that's crazy especially considering that you are dreaming in your head, not some other place. I like your edit part though, lol

in the book above it says that all dreams are a form of projection into the astral plane. But just very close to you. I've also heard that sometimes people go into the astral plane when they are sleeping without knowing it.
At any rate, I was practicing my cohesion and such in my dream and may have purposely went into the astral plane. I dont remember

Mini Man, wow, I've never thought of it that way. Good thought!
It says also in the book above that the entities are just as confused to RL as we are to the astral planes.

      Good call!

I've heard the same thing before, when I first read up on the astral plane. TO me, it sounds wonderful, but, I fear the worst which is what has held me back

The Dreamtime is very close to what people call Astral Projection. It is an inbetween place between the Tonal (physical world) and the Nagual (Spiritual World). When you dream, you walk in this inbetween place. When you LD, you do this in a concious state. When you LD with intent, you become "noticed" by other entities within this place.

In the Tradition I follow, the Dreamtime is a powerful place full of opportunity for gaining knowledge. But as I'm finding out personally, it is also a dangerous place in which one may be assaulted by other spiritual entities. When I am attacked, I call on my Spirit Guides and Protectors. They bolster me and allow me to defend myself.

Interesting, since, I am starting to think that its possible that we are actually astral projecting when we dream

Your spirit does not actually leave your body during a Lucid Dream unless you direct it to. That's the main difference. In Astral Projection or Shamanic Journeying, your spirit will actually step out of your physical body to operate in its own medium.

However, you DO have access to much of the same information and resources in the Dreamtime as you would during a Journey.

So... similar yes. The same, no.

So, in a lucid dream, you can direct your spirit to leave your body? Can you do this, assuming you know how, in any lucid dream in which you're highly aware? Do you know where I can find more info on this?

Spiritual entities can attack you any time. Whether you're awake, asleep, or in ether. Strong Medicine people can attack you as well with spiritual energy. Recognizing these attacks is sometimes easier in the Dreamtime because we're already halfway there anyway.

I'm sure there's a lot of resources out there. I started with Carlos Castaneda's works. I've worked with a few Medicine People as well, though and that one-on-one personal experience is what made the difference for me.
