      dream guide question

      So I had a non lucid dream last night, and in that dream I was climbing up a ladder that was about 10 feet tall. All of a sudden I heard barking and I saw a pitbull rushing towards the ladder about to knock it over while I was on it. Then another dog which was a rottweiler barked at it and scared it off.
      I was reileved and it jumped up on a ledge next to me. All of a sudden it started talking, I dont remeber exactly what she said. The reason I call it a she is beacuase she sounded very similar to Barbra Walters. So I was just wondering was that my dream guide, I seen a rottweiler in other dreams but I dident put to much thought into it. Thanks!

      I can only answer with a maybe.

      It could be, but could not be. Just because an animal talks, doesn't mean it's your dream guide. Much like if a human DC is well developed, that doesn't mean it's your dream guide. Keep dreaming, get lucid, and ask the rottweiler.

      In the Dreaming Tradition I follow, your Dreamguide rarely, if every shows themselves physically. They remain a "disembodied" voice that instructs and guides but doesn't interfere. From the standpoint of my tradition, provided this was a Dream and not just a dream, then I'd say the Rott was an Ally but not your Dreamguide.

      Personally, I'd think this was just a dream.
